Thanks for having me on and for making this conversation so much fun. Peter!
  • @PeterBarber
Such an immense honor to have a full conversation with this man about his music, life, career, approach to vocal technique, blasting low notes, what his voice type is, the behind-the-scenes scoop on VoicePlay and his involvement with them, and much more. I know for a FACT that you all will absolutely love this conversation! What other guests would like to hear me speak to on the channel/podcast?
  • @melindahancock8518
I'm still trying to figure out how he thinks he is not a bass. Sweet Mercy! Thank you Geoff for accepting Peter's request for an interview! We all learned so much, and got to know you so much better. Fellas, thank you for sharing your gifts 💜
  • @user-hv4nl9rn8t
Geoff castellucci continues to be my favorite singer not only because of his immense talent but also his distinct humility. It was great to watch this interview!
  • @minami-s6744
He is so humble to the point that he is putting himself down. Doesn't he know how great he is, not just by his voice but also his genius arrangements and musicality? Also, a lot of young bass singers look up to him. Thank you peter, for telling him to held his head up high also, congratulations to you and bassgang on all your achievements
  • @anymous1485
I love the way this is an actual relaxed conversation (grumbling) between two great knowledgeable guys, not simply a one-way interview. Learned lots as always!
  • @shyrose720
I love how this was more like a conversation then an awkward interview. Geoff even asked Peter questions. I think both find value in the other's talents and experience. Wonderful to watch. Thank you 😊
  • Wonderful. And on top of everything else, can I just point out that Geoff has a softest, warmest, most loving expressions I think I've ever seen. Just another reason to love him.
  • @PhoenicisEstuans
who needs asmr when you can have 2 bass vocalists discuss having deep voices?
  • @ZMoney514
It is truly unfair that Geoff is that supremely talented AND handsome AND apparently just the nicest guy imaginable. Leave something for the rest of us!
  • @DeeeDogxx
I appreciate very much that Geoff would never waste our time and put anything in the internet forever which would not be worth it. He is very grounded without having star allure. I even think he does not really know how great musician and person he is! He, and his crew, bring so much joy, and sometimes sad feelings, but always authentic, to many, many people. I'm a child of the nineties who grew up with Metal and Grunge. I didn't listen to a capella before I found Voiceplay on YouTube after I became a Castellucci fan after hearing Sixteen Tons and the Halloween stuff. I listen to it in my playlist everyday and it adds something important to my life quality.
  • @Dvergenlied
These are the kinds of musician interviews I love most. Highly technical but accessible without feeling beholden to too strict a format. Nice work, Peter.
  • @Filiz_E
That was awesome! Geoff is such a humble guy❤ Thanks Peter!
  • @DravenGal
Wow! Two mega-hot Basses, face to face, both awesome guys and amazing singers!
  • Geoff I HEAR the bass in your speaking voice. Just like with JD Sumner and Peter as well. JD is in a class if his own though clearly. But I worked at an opera company as an office manager and Jack of all trades seeings that we were non profit so I known bass voices. You have it Geoff. Seriously. The thing that I have never heard is the range you have. The high notes come so easily it is crazy. You are a phenom literally
  • @HunterTheFerocious
Thank YOU Peter for making this video! Geoff is a pretty impressive (although he’d never admit it) type of guy. If there were awards for how humble a person could be, he’d win all of them. His humbleness mixed with great talent, makes for a pretty awesome soup of creative expression. 🎉
  • @moriahwhite1188
Geoff is such an affable, self-effacing, honest goofball in interviews and then wonders why so many people are enraptured with him?!!??? 🤦🏼‍♀️ Peter, you conducted this interview with a casual respect that made the hour fly by. 🫶🏻😁
  • @leeelizabeth7102
Mr. Jeof Castellucci, i heard you sing and heard you being interviewed for the first time in my 60+ years and you're super-impressive un your voice, interpretation of the muilsic you have in hand, and, above all, your temperament. Thanks be to God.
  • @karingreen396
I freekin loved this. So funny you convincing Geoff that he’s a real bass.
  • Oh wow, that was amazing! Great interview/conversation, learned a bit, shook my head at Geoff not claiming his bass God status as he deserves. I thought it was so cool how interested in how opera works he seemed.
