    쇼팽을 너무 사랑해서 정말 수많은 노력끝에 프랑스 와서 정착해 살고있는데 생활이 녹록치않네요. 너무나도 힘든 이 시간, 정말 쇼팽이 사랑했던 도시 빠리와 이 곳에서 작곡하고 활동했던 나날들 그것들을 쫓아 여기까지 오게해준 제 오래된 꿈을 다시 상기시켜주는 좋은 연주에 정말 큰 힘 얻어서 갑니다. 너무 우아하고 힘있고 서정적이고 터치하나하나에도 작곡가의 의도를 고스란히 전달하려는 그 놀라운 집중력과 혼신의 연주 너무 감사해요. 쇼팽을 너무나 명쾌하게 해석해주시는 조성진님 언제나처럼 또 영원히 조성진님의 팬일듯합니다. 쇼팽 우승 직전 우승자가 누가 될지 아무도 모른채로 우승자에게 주어지는 첫 리사이틀 티켓을 사서, 우승자의 음악회를 직접 보는 행운을 저에게 가져다주신 분. 그 연주자가 다른 누구가 아닌 조성진이라서 정말 행복했고 감격스러웠습니다. 그 순간 기억하면서 힘내서 살아야지 싶네요. 쇼팽 발라드 아름답습니다.

    One of The only pianist today that really understands and feels his instrument. Connected with the world, soul and sounds. I’ve heard interpretations of these pieces a number of times amd I feel that many really just memorize the sheet music, and reproduce it on the keyboard. This man, Seong-Jin Cho plays as if improvising in real time! It’s something special about him which I love and can’t fully put into words.
