  • This would have been an incredible way for Drew to announce he’s releasing a book.
  • @withle7502
Jake’s book reads like a third grader writing an “about me” paper after coming back from summer vacation

as someone (with boobs) i can confirm that it’s really annoying when i’m trying to text a boy but my boobs text him instead.
  • @kphoria1009
jake’s book was just nasty. telling middle schoolers about his sex life and acting like it’s okay to objectify women
  • He literally said to teen girls “I know you might be insecure and obsess over your appearance, but don’t worry- guys are obsessing over your appearance”

"I'm just a 30-year-old 15-year-old!" is the best description of influencers ever
  • @twineberry
Gabby Hanna’s book feels like if tumblr and “I’m 14 and this is deep” had a kid
  • @Kebbysheepman
Sometimes when I feel self conscious about my writing I come back to this video to remind myself that, no matter what I write, it will never be as horrendous as whatever Jake Paul spat out onto those pages. Good god.
  • Jake Paul’s book reminded me of the “you’ve never felt the highs and lows, triumphs and defeats of high school football” Riverdale scene
  • @garfield5316
i’ve never heard a better description of youtuber book youtubers than “i’m just a 30 year old 15 year old”
  • @JStack
6:41 how have we all moved past the fact Jake was attracted to cars before girls
  • @potato-uj9dk
as a minor and someone who has a uterus, i had to fully take a few minutes to process things after hearing the whole 'guys are obsessed with what girls look like naked' thing because, what the actual fuck. thats genuinely so gross. gotta be some of the most vile shit ive ever heard. like, we are already paranoid enough about sexual harassment and being objectified, ive heard boys my age talk about the girls in some of the most mortifyingly shocking disgusting ways, so for jake paul to preach that to his fanbase of mainly 12-13 y/o children basically trying to say that its okay is so genuinely disgusting to me
  • imagine being a tree and growing for years and years to be cut down and be made into jake or gabby’s book
  • @Mona_rchy
“The depth of an aboveground pool that hasn’t been filled yet” That is a masterful insult.
  • Rhett and Link are really good with YouTuber books. They came out with another book called The Lost Causes of Bleak Creek, this one being an original story. From what I know, they got a writer to help them execute it, but other than that, it came entirely from both of their minds, and one of the characters is a tribute to their childhood friend who passed before they started their channel. I think it’s well written, fun, and entertaining. Goes to show all you need to make a good book is actually wanting to do it in the first place and putting in the right amount of effort and heart. (And a certain degree of talent, of course. Writing is deceptively hard.)
  • “I’m wearing sweatpants and I just had a pb&j smoothie” homeboy really tried to vlog through a book (….book vlog = blog… 🤯 )
  • @alikat_2078
The fact that jake made a whole book about girls, is disgusting on its own. It makes it even worse that his main audience is like literally 9
  • - tyler oakley's had a really interesting perspective on eating disorders, and was the thing that got me interested in learning about mental illnesses and neurodivergence - dan and phil's was like rhet and link's, and i found it very interactive and cute, however it was definitely written with their younger audience in mind - shane dawson's made me uncomfortable
