The Fisker Karma is weird -- really weird. Today I'm reviewing a Fisker Karma, and I'm going to show you around one of the weirdest, most unusual vehicles you can buy for $40,000 or less. I'm also going to take you on a full tour of the Karma, and then I'm going to drive the Fisker Karma.

  • Fisker employees who designed this car watching like "FINALLY, after 8 years, someone noticed the different flash patterns for gear changes"
  • @JandCfilms1
"Almost 10 years ago." That hit me harder than anticipated.
  • CNC Motors is out of business and being investigated for fraud. What a difference a year makes.

I remember seeing this in an NYC parking lot around 2012 and was blown away by how sexy and imposing it looked. Had to find out what model it was. Really, REALLY surprised it didnt do better based on looks alone. IMO one of the best looking cars ever made, especially when seen in person.
  • Designed in California, clearly the middle console glass is for coke.
  • This car is truly one of the most interesting and cool designs ever. Even the interior is so different and cool. I love the glass trim

My coworkers neighbor bought one new and we thought it was the coolest car ever. It was mind blowing! Within an hour of purchasing the car it was struck by a drunk teenage driver and totaled. For months we joked this driver had killed the future
  • CNC Manager: bring the good cars into the hall, leave the cars with quirks and features outside for Doug.
  • CNC: “OH good Doug is back!” Doug: “I never left, I’ve been hiding in the trunk.”

One of the most aesthetically-appealing of sedans.

I respect the fact that they had the balls to make it strictly a four seater. I always thought carrying the center console all the way to the rear as one piece was a lot sexier than trying to put a third seat option in the middle. I wish more brands did this.

Ok the car sucks but i think its fricken gorgeous. Doesnt look like a 10 year old car. Looks like a Viper mixed with an Aston Martin.
  • @Some0ne001
Looks like Doug is self quarantining at CNC Motors.
  • "Uusikaupunki" literally means "New City". Yeah, I guess that's kinda strange. Like they decided to start up a new town, fired up Town Maker 1.0, hit "New..." and just kept hitting OK and never changed the name.
  • A smug, over-designed plug in hybrid car with a navigation system that only gives you directions to places in California might be the most California thing I can think of.
  • I remember reading Autoweek when this vehicle was on the way. I remember it was good looking and technically interesting. This is the closest look I've ever had, a very well-done guide to the car. I am actually surprised at how many things they got right for the first attempt. The failures are similar to failures in exotic cars from makes that have been around a long time. If I were ridiculously wealthy, I would get a Karma to add to my collection just because it is a forward-looking car for its time.

The most beautiful and the most quirky sedan ever built!
