I only knew of John Miles from his many years touring with Tina Turner as part of her band. Look at any of the late 80s and 90s tour footage and John is on guitar and singing backing vocals. There is also one video of Tina bringing Grace Jones on stage from where she was standing watching the show behind the curtain. Tina introduces her as the most beautiful black woman in the world. Grace was a huge fan of Tina even before her comeback, there are numerous photos of them taken over the course of a decade where Grace came backstage to see her after Tina's shows, Tina wet with sweat and makeup streaked and Grace always perfect and dressed in very high fashion.
