Iβm Dr. Dana Brems, also known as Foot Doc Dana. As a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM), I treat everything from trauma including broken bones, other sports injuries, foot wounds, calluses, thick or ingrown nails; you name it! Being a #doctor is a serious job, but we can have a lighthearted side too. That's why I created this channel- to make medical themed videos for fun, while also helping to answer your questions.

Pain through the screen

I had a blood blister from below a big toenail, that just stayed there for way too long. When I finally got the detached part of the nail removed, the blood blister grew SO much instantly. It turns out the pressure from the nail had re-traumatized it and I had several stacked blood blisters that needed healing, one by one. But I had to deal with a very vertical blister for a while. I got those adhesive donuts for giving space to blisters and protect them, and I needed to stack two of those initially.

Palm sanders are awesome for getting dead skin off your feet. Ive used them before and it works great, dremels with a sanding drum attachment work well too.

This type of very aggressive cuticle removal is VERY common in South American pedicures!! Been there; had that done to me!
