What if FF6 was a playstation 1 game? Something about the opening credits of the orginal FF6 really strikes a chord with me. The music, the cold snowy environment, the feeling of the start of a long journey. I wanted to try my best to capture that feeling in this video.

Made almost entirely in blender, with some snow and compositing done in nuke.

Music by Nobuo Uematsu (Terra's Theme)
Ground texture and distant background sprite of Narshe taken from the original game.
Everything else made by me.

    The camerwork was really impressive. And having everyone in their own pose on the m-tek armor was a nice touch. Very cool video. One of my fav ff6 moments, too. Definitely got a sub and like from me. Look forward to more!

    This is leagues better than the phone version. Kind of reminds me of how the PS1 version should have looked. It's kind of cool seeing the original design of the Magitek armor again. I also love how Biggs and Wedge are sitting diffrently giving them more personality.

    Absolutely GORGEOUS. I love the ps1 aesthetic. I’ve always thought there was something wrong with me because I prefer it over modern graphics, but I don’t care any more. I want 90s 2d games and Saturn to ps2 era 3D style forever. 😂

    This doesn't have anywhere near enough views. Cool as hell. Really has the feel of the PS1 era FF games, and you managed to even inject personality into them with the poses in the mechs.
