Two to three hours after the live stream this morning the Weeks 533 lowered that column section onto the barge alongside the Dali's bow.

I have a hard time imagining how they got the Dali moved at all with all that concrete weight. I only realized today the presence of the horizontal top piece of the bridge pier. Facinated too, how they built two staircases to get across it. Mighty fine images Captain Andy! Stayin tuned! 👍🤠
  • What a capture in pictures of the Dali and Resolve! Each picture is worthy of publication. Your abilities in bringing us true , real life events of this accident have been so educational and informative. Thank you for enlightening all of us.
  • Proud to be aboard, Cap'n! Outstanding drone footage, thanks very much for the high-definition shots of the side of the bridge pillar where they cut through something like 4 feet of concrete. Thank you, Sir!
  • Seeing people along side that pillar really shows how big it is. Great images, thanks Captain Andy😊

Washington Post article in May suggested that the DALI would remain loaded on its trip to Norfolk in order to sit low enough in the water to transit the Bay Bridge.
