In Siberia, Grigori and the people of Eiik face the same problem every year. In summer, their village is inaccessible by car, surrounded by swamps for kilometers. No road can be built, only the plane can resupply it. In winter, everything changes, the frost petrifies the swamps and the village of Eiik becomes accessible to the transport of goods by cars and vans. But there is still no road. Then begins the great adventure for Grigori and the inhabitants: going to get food and heating oil in Yakusk, 1,200 km through the taiga at -40° degrees.

I am from Africa. Seeing what some people go through just to survive and stay alive make me appreciate our hot tropical climate the more. Respect to the strong men that live in the high north.
