Brief explanation.
Local police helicopter (which i thought i missed but you'll see at 9:00 minutes arriving just as the A380 started to depart. This caused the A380 to abort its departure ( i presume because of the wind vortex it would create) I missed the go arounds due to concentrating on the ground movements. Birmingham Airport is mainly a one in one out Airport so for us locals this was quite an event seeing so much ground traffic go arounds etc at one time. Hope this explanation helps πŸ‘βœˆπŸ‘

I had the privilege a few times. My absolute favorite and it boggles the mind when you see this huge piece of metal and you wonder how it can possibly fly.
  • Just watched this for about the 3rd time! Hats off to you Speedbird great video buddy, brilliant catch. Its nuts how something like that can cause disruption so quick in our smaller airports in UK. Great job!

Glad to see the A380 has been resurrected ... my wife and I regularly commuted LON-SIN before Covid and always re-arranged our schedule to book on an A380 ... huge sense of interior space, quiet and stable in the air ... it felt safer because of its sheer size!
  • wow, The a380 is one of the largest aircraft in the world, nice plane spotting video πŸ‘
  • Glad I finally got to watch this Speedbird, great video well done buddy! Love the view from that location too. Thanks for sharing and great camera work!! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ

What a beautiful plane! Gorgeous but my goodness, those wings! Looks like they’re gonna just snap right off from the weight. It really is an engineering marvel.

I am from Uruguay, 84. Magnificently shot video. A380 take-off impressive and so well captured. Congrats.

Great to see the return of the A380, cheers for sharing your video - always a fantastic an imposing figure of an aeroplane (y) Have been lucky enough to fly several times with Emirates from here back to Hong Kong. Last flight was back in 2018 when I turned left and up a few stair into the upper deck area which had been converted to economy - around 30 seats from memory with dedicated staff just for this section.
  • Amazing! I loved to see the wind structure from the back. It takes a lot lift to suspend something so big into the sky and I can see how the wing accommodate that so beautifully!

Beautiful on-ground spotting, great camera stabilization. Hat tip to you. Kudos to Birmingham field being able to accommodate an A380.
  • I like the A380 for it's size but I will always have my first love which is the 747-4 and it's series. If you flew commercial air in the 70's and 80's you can't help but adore the 747.

Looks like really busy and good place to watch from πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ˜€πŸ˜€
  • I flew the amazing British Airways A380 a few months ago roundtrip from DFW to London. Effortless takeoff & landings with incredible space... Loved flying on this plane, as much as the 747's, A350's and my luckiest upgrade of my lifetime in 1997....the Concorde.

Good to watch even better to fly on, love the take off it feels like an eternity, best business class 😊

Wow! Thanks so much for recording and posting this. It's been fascinating to watch those marvels operating. Great fun!

Great video! What hit my sweet spot, PILATIUS (PJ) Pilot's roll (21:25 - 23:29) that's a takeoff! Love it!
  • @aviationvideos
That was an interesting a rare catch of the Emirates A380 aborted takeoff. You got some nice shots of the other movements too, great views at Birmingham at that location. Nice one to stick with it and catch the departure too.
