ALOE VERA - ALOE BARBADENSIS MILLER

Aloe Vera was used for centuries for its health and beauty benefits in Egypt, India, Mexico, Japan and China. In ancient Egypt, formerly known as "Kemet", aloe vera was called "the plant of immortality".

Aloe Vera is composed of 75 active constituents : Among them, you can find vitamins, minerals, enzymes, sugars, fatty acids, antioxidants, lignin, saponins, antiseptic agents (such as salicylic acid) and amino acids.

VITAMINS : A, C, E, B12, folic acid (B9), choline.
ENZYMES : alliase, alkaline phosphatase, amylase, bradykinase, carboxypeptidase, catalase, cellulase, lipase and peroxidase. Bradykinase helps to reduce inflammation and the other enzymes help to break down sugars and fatty acids.
MINERALS : calcium, chromium, copper, selenium, magnesium, manganese, potassium, sodium and zinc. Minerals are very important for the proper functioning of enzymes; some of them are antioxidants.

SUGARS : monosaccharides (glucose, fructose and mannose-6-phosphate) and polysaccharides (glucomannans and polymannoses).
FATTY ACIDS : cholesterol, campesterol, beta-sisosterol et lupeol (steroides). They all have anti-inflammatory properties and lupeol has antiseptic and analgesic properties.
HORMONES : auxines et gibberellines : anti-inflammatory, help wound healing.
AMINO ACIDS : 20 of the 22 necessary amino acids for humans and 7 of the 8 essential amino acids.
ANTISEPTIC AGENTS : lupeol, salicylic acid, nitrogen urea, cinnamonic acid, phenols and sulfur. Inhibit molds, bacteria and viruses.

Lignin is an inert substance that increases the penetration of the other actives into the skin. Saponins are soapy substances with cleaning and antiseptic properties.

Aloe Vera Gel has anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, anti-aging, anti-acne, hydrating and protecting properties on the skin. In addition to that, it softens and protects the hair.

In the Caribbean, we use it traditionally as a natural shampoo or hair mask. It can be used as a prepoo treatment, detangler, leave-in or natural gel to lay down the hair or define the curls.

  • Aloe Vera is my go too, I use it for my shampoo and leave in conditioner, night face mask, for cuts, I drink a shot glass with juice as often as possible, I find it good to help my blood sugars, Aloe Vera is God's food, you don't need expensive creams or shampoos, I am 60 year old and don't have any line in my face😉 💃🏾💃🏾🙏🏿💕

LittleExtra Cocoonion hair oil and shampoo came highly recommended to me by my coworker at work, and I've been using it for the past 60 days. I'm thrilled to see that it's working, as my hair fall has been decreasing day by day. Work stress used to make me lose over 100 hairs every day.

I can attest to Aloe Vera. This pass year I incorporated it in my wash routine as a 1hr deep conditioner as well as a leave in some times. When I tell you within 9 months my hair was down my back and healthy “ whew Chile “. My hair naturally grows fast but it was faster and healthier but mind you I only did it a few times in the 9 months. Imagine if I was consistent with every wash day ❤️🤦🏽‍♀️.
  • I enjoyed your video. I use aloe vera daily on my hair. It keeps my hair extremely soft and moisturized with a natural shine. I rinse my hair every day because I do hot yoga in a sauna and I don’t want the aloe to run into my eyes. My hair is still hydrated. I use the aloe straight from the plant. I’m noticed that my thin hair is no longer falling out because my curls are locked after it is rinsed. It truly protected my hair and makes it look fuller. My 70 year old mom is using it and getting the same results. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

Oh my gosh those aloe Vera plants at the beginning look amazing!
  • Hello, for FYI it’s easier to slice the aloe vera leaves in half, and take a large spoon and scrape the inside out of the aloe vera half. This will cut the time in half. I simply just scrape all the inside of the aloe vera into a blender and make juice with it. If you want to make aloe vera gel, use a food processor.

I wished I could share my aloe vera plants. I have so much!
  • @sablebrown9196
I love fresh aloe vera. Incorporated it as a prepoo and conditioner. I can really tell the difference. I was given two large leaf plants and a couple of medium size. An excellent gift and wise investment if you can find them. I have been using them weekly since the summer and my hair is growing. Thank you for this video!
  • @arlenedavis8140
I use alo Vera on my face everyday ,I blend it ,strain it and add some olive or coconut oil then make ice cubes,it lighten my age spots that I had in my face for years ,I can't get enough of it
  • I don't bother processing it into gel. It already is that. I just strip the sides, cut them into one inch sections, and soak in filtered water for 30 minutes. Then, just put in a baggy and refrigerate. I take out one section, split it through the center, and rub one half all through my hair and scalp, using the other half to coat my face and neck. It stays fresh about a week. A one inch section is more than enough to saturate your face and scalp.

I use Aloe Vera for everything. Hair, face and skin. Oil, shampoo, deep conditioner and gel. I love it.
  • @LotusFlowerLife
I stopped using aloe vera in my hair because it was making my scalp super itchy and I realized its because the latex wasn't drained off properly even though I washed it. I think I'm def gonna try it again using your method
  • I have used it once recently. It left my hair so soft and shiny. This is now a part of my routine. I actually put it in overnight, then washed my hair the next day.
  • Back in the 80s as a young Rasta coming up n starting my locks I used aloe , scruching needle known as the cactus, okra , hibiscus flowers, Lin seed known as flax seed, u can use any natural product from stuff that gets that gelly n gooing, thick consistency. After recovering from COVID, I noticed that my hair was falling out more than usual. To address this, I took some positive actions. I improved my diet, focusing on more protein and vitamins. I also began walking for 20 minutes every day and practiced 10 minutes of daily meditation to manage stress. I adopted a hair care routine that included using littleextra cocoonion hair oil twice a week, leaving it on for 5 hours before washing it off with littleextra’s natural mild shampoo and conditioner. Additionally, I started drinking amala juice in the morning regularly. As part of my lifestyle changes, I decided to limit smoking and drinking, enjoying them only once a month for socializing. All these new habits together helped me significantly reduce my hair fall. Thank you to everyone for your support!
  • Great Video.👍🏼 I've been Freezing my Aloe for years because I extract a large quantity. You forgot Africa when you mentioned places Aloe was used in ancient times. Aloe has a long history of being used for its Medicinal Properties dating back to Ancient Africa. The Plant is native to North Africa (I know you couldn't list every place 😚)._ As most people are aware it's grown in Tropical Climates Worldwide.🌎

I am very excited to begin using pure aloe vera from the plant my hair has been very short for many years due to all sorts of things that I've done to my hair but it is now in its natural state (hairline receded unfortunately) but I am still so excited to begin my journey with aloe vera and all sorts of other great DIY recipes even in my older maturing years. The Bible does say your "latter shall be greater" God bless you for sharing!!
  • @krazykid197
