  • I'm so sad I typed "boring class" expecting role play and I found some serious work of this respectable teacher.
  • @MrParris2
i feel bad for this guy, i literally looked up boring lecture and this was number 1
  • @Icien1
I don’t think we appreciate enough how difficult it is to accurately and concisely relay generalized information of world history that is impactful enough. I want to be a teacher, but sometimes I panic just thinking about going up in front of others and doing a topic justice. While some might consider this boring and sleep inducing, it is quite the opposite if you actually follow and understand what’s being said.
  • Thank you for putting this up. I’m a young person on disability and am not legally allowed to go to school. I was born disabled. Seems not really fair, so this makes me feel a bit better about the world. Even if I can’t get a degree of any kind, I can still educate myself. They can’t take that away from me.

Am I the only one who listened to this trying to sleep but actually found it interesting?
  • @Vanedis003
Fascinating lecture about how ideology and politics controls how history has been taught. I like his calm lecturing style - gives me time to digest what he says. Thanks for uploading these lectures :-)
  • @joe-ke7pu
Once again, YouTube's search algorithm has failed me. I tried to cure my insomnia but instead I was up the whole time, because this was too interesting.
  • @Ajax-322
Most of us are here because we need to sleep, right?
  • Great topic that is difficult to listen to because of the speed the lecturer talks. So glad you can change the speed of a video on YouTube now. Settings > speed > x1.25 Makes this watchable.
  • @bini7203
Man I came here to sleep, but this dude is so fire that I actually stayed awake the whole time and listened to his fascinating intro to world history.
  • @karmy1
I went to listen to this guy's lecture to fall asleep. Boy was that a mistake, being a teacher that wanted to do history, but never did because it was never offered, I would have loved this class.
  • @goodzillo
Literally the first result when you search "boring lecture"
  • I thought that it was boring enough to fall asleep but I ended up wanting to hear more. I never thought of it that way, but there's a real conflict of interest between publishers and knowledge, I guess.
  • @Vicky-zr1pb
Loved this lecture series. This is my second time listening to it. He has an incredible intellect. Played the videos at 1.25 speed.
  • @correocasa3
close your eyes and picture Ross from Friends
  • I realized that everytime i have to watch a lecture I have to fight to stay awake, and have failed occassionally. So i realized... Why not use lectures when I actually need help sleeping.
  • @SaminSays
Set this baby to .75 x speed and say goodbye to your insomnia
  • @OhadAsor
that's a true historian: begins with the history of the course. fascinating btw!!
