Succession Deserves the Hype

the succession theme makes me want to burn stacks of cash despite being a minimum wage employee

"You can't make a tomlette without breaking a few Greggs" This may just be the greatest line ever written for television.

The worst part about this show is trying to get people to watch it. The first three episodes are slow and pretentious but it brilliantly crafts itself into one of the best shows on television!

It is a crime to skip the title music when watching succession

First episodes: Kendall is douchebag i hate him Season 2 finale: This guy is a legend

dude when Kendall tells roman where he's at and he immediately just says, ok I'm coming to get you, that was the moment he won me over. he's such a little twat and yet has the only seemingly functional heart of the entire family. it put a frog in my throat

"Kendall is so interesting it makes me want to scream" so accurate, me too

It being written like a comedy but directed like a drama that makes this show brilliant for me

Despite Roman being the obvious choice for most hate-able character, I find him to be one of the most authentic. His brand of awfulness is, for the most part, gluttonous and hedonistic uses of his power for pleasure, rather than malicious and abusive treatment of others (with obvious exceptions - never forget the baseball kid 😔). This produces a character that looks more awful than the others, but who is more true to themselves, and more honest about their own privilege, and who ultimately hurts less people.

I like how he prefers movies but then every time he’s watched any tv show ever he has fallen in love with it. Sopranos next pls

I wish you had talked about Shiv a little more because I think she is one of the most complex characters on the show, alongside Kendall. We start out thinking of her as the "likeable" member of the family, the one with more liberal, progressive politics, the competent, capable woman, who is smarter than all of her brothers put together, but who is seemingly underestimated and overlooked by her father. But as the show goes on, she becomes increasingly unlikeable as you realise that her progressive politics are really only skin deep, and that underneath she is just as self-serving and ruthless - if not MORE ruthless - than any of them. Whats more, she is a compulsive liar and manipulator who is constantly gaslighting and belittling Tom, because she doesn't want a partner, she wants someone to boss around. At the same time, I sort of can't help rooting for her to succeed????

The theme song for Succession is literally so damn good it's the main reason why I watched the show. It's also my top song on spotify. It's stupid good.

Jeremy strongs performance is one of my all time tv favourites. He's so good it's heartbreaking you hate and love him at the same time. What an actor

The ending of the first season literally left my jaw dropped and it was all i could think about for like three days. Such a masterpiece of a show

I get so annoyed over the fact of how underrated this show is for it's quality. Sure, a lot of people like it and have watched, but this is a masterpiece that deserves to be just as big as got was, if not more!

The show has the best use of the word "but". If you have seen the ending of the Season 2 finale, you would know what I mean.

Ending of the s02 just blew my mind.
