When republicans throw out these accusations, why aren't you, the reporters, asking them, "What is the point of your attack? What difference does it make as to the rank someone retired at?" This is what bullies do --- make accusations to put people on defense who then get caught up defending themselves. Bullies take the approach of "prove me wrong" which is an impossible task. It is very hard to prove, definitively, something is untrue. Go on offense and challenge them on why they are making the attacks and what difference it makes. It's turning the tables onto the attacker that deflates them and causes them to run away in shame and helps to shut them up. Democrats need to smarten up and learn how to deal with bullies if you want to defeat them. Being a bully to a bully is a losing game, and trump is much better at playing it than any democrat.
