This movie also had a big effect on James Bond movies by resetting spy movies back to basics and removing the convenient gadget trope.

By a strange coincidence I've just binge-watched the original Bourne trilogy (Identity, Supremacy, Ultimatum) back-to-back a couple of days ago. The story is remarkably solid across all three films and when Paul Greengrass takes over directorial duties with Supremacy the action gets ramped up even higher. Watch the rest of the trilogy, you're in for a thrilling ride.

I work next to the "Bank" and "US Embassy" filming locations in Prague and watching the sequence Jason walking streets in the vicinity in random order always brings a smile to my face. Great reaction, looking forward to the sequel reactions. This franchise gets better and better.
  • Another film with Franka Potente that I can recommend is "Run Lola Run" (1998).
  • My two favorite parts: 1) the conversation in the diner when Bourne talks about all the things he knows, and says, "How can I know all that, and not know who I am?" That's when I was like, oh yeah, I'm in this, I love it. 2) the complex plan Jason comes up with, only for Marie to get the info they needed in a much simpler way, lol! Brilliant and funny.

Tiny detail in the last scene, you can see Marie kept the red bag and used it as a hanging planter in her shop. Love these movies, but this one in particular. The rest are worth watching for all the twists and turns and action scenes.

The Bourne series is probably one of the best action series to exist. It's so good. And the casting is superb in each movie!
  • @Krucifus
I do hope you continue with the series. If I remember correctly, all of the Bourne movies are pretty solid, even the one centered around Jeremy Renner.
  • @Noahsampeer
Franka Potente's break into American cinema. She was in several German language films as well. I recommend Run, Lola, Run (Lola Rennt) or The Princess and the Warrior.

I’m so glad you enjoyed it. The original Bourne trilogy is a personal favourite of mine. I watch it every year or so, and it’s so rare to see people reacting to it ❤️
  • Franka Potente, Maria, also starred in Run, Lola, Run a very good and different German language movie.
  • @sbunc92
The trilogy is really just like one long six hour movie. And it ends with an all-time classic shot.
  • A big YES to reacting to the other two films in the trilogy. All three are fantastic.
  • “Extreme Ways” playing at the end of the movies is always very satisfying to hear
  • @jcastromex
Definitely see the other sequels. This movie also had "Fugitive" vibes which is what you asked for in that reaction. I enjoy your videos so much. Keep'em coming Jen! 📽❤
  • I really enjoyed all of these of the series, even the final one with a just a cameo by Jason Bourne. All are excellent for action and misdirection. Very tight stories. Thanks for reacting to this.
  • @mojoshivers
The original trilogy has some of the best action/chase scenes in film. The last one, The Bourne Ultimatum, especially has some jaw-dropping stunt sequences and fights. You should definitely work your way through the next two.

LOL! "On the run kissing!" 😘🏃‍♀🏃‍♂You crack me up, love it! It's always your little comments that put the spark in the step to these reaction vids! Cheers Jen!
