Call of Duty Ghosts is far from realistic. And yet, CoD Ghosts' version of reality should absolutely terrify you. And even worse, it's closer to becoming a reality than you might think. Love it or hate it, Call of Duty Ghosts certainly can predict the way we're all going to die.

“This thing has been flying over your head for about a year” Me: sees this was posted in 2014. Also me: chuckles I’m in danger
  • The biggest threat hanging over our heads right now... *looks up* Is there a spider?

Call of Duty Ghosts: the cliffhanger ending you'll never get closure on
  • Do y'all ever go back to old game theory episodes, hear mat and think "Ah yes, closet recording"

Love it or hate it, Call of Duty Ghosts contains some dark truths about what's flying over our heads. That said, how do you feel about the CoD franchise? FPYes or CODNO?

"We need to figure out how MASSIVE these rods are..." MatPat 2014
  • 9:12 seeing Mat’s iconic pose in an actual picture doesn’t seem real to me anymore lol
  • Death rod falls from the sky stabbing Thanos through the chest Thor: I told you. You'd die for that.

When Mat talks about a war against Australian kangaroos and kiwis, but you already won a war against the Australian army: sad emu noises

Fun fact: While real guns may not be able to be fired in space (don't quote me on that), the Aperture Science turrets can. As revealed during an advertisement for Portal 2 (I think it was an advertisement, anyway), it was shown that the turrets don't fire like normal guns; they actually use spring-loaded pistons, essentially making them gumball machines of death that can work in space. This also explains why Chell can be hit by so many bullets before actually being hurt; spring-loaded guns wouldn't do much more than bruise her.
  • Correction: the choice of tungsten was so we had a dense alloy that could survive the heat of re-entry. A KEM strike wont work if it burns up before landing

Almost 7 years ago, this channel was already this good. And it only gets better

Cant help noticing that the "Oden" is in starcraft 2 as the larger version of the "Thor" a mechanical war bot
  • Cod ghost didn't get enough love. I loved the art style, extinction was fun, and the multiplayer is pretty enjoyable, I still play Ghost now in 2021, no regrets.

“run to your bunkers” me knowing those rods are capable of penetrating the earth’s surface to take out underground weapons facilities that are so far underground: “Great advice matpat”
  • It turns out those tungsten rods can absorb an immense amount of heat energy. When that superheated rod strikes the ground. The massive heat transfer and energy release could be almost as powerful as a small hydrogen bomb.
