The Devil Wears Prada - LIVE at Cornerstone 2009 - Hey John, What's Your Name Again?

Rain poured in sheets for 24 hours before TDWP's Main Stage debut. The Main Stage amphitheater became a monstrous mud slide. Kids were sliding down and returning, treacherously, to the top of the hill so thoroughly coated in mud as to be unrecognizable.
Regrettably, Main Stage had to be closed for the first time since 1995* and TDWP and UnderOATH were both moved to the only tent big enough to hold their crowds - The Gallery Stage. Unfortunately, this stage is setup like a dinner theater with tables and chairs and a low stage appropriate for a seated audience. If I'm ever in the presence of a TDWP audience that is seated I'll check my pulse...I may be in the morgue myself.
Mike welcomed everyone to "the NEW Cornerstone Main Stage." LOL
Many complained afterward that they couldn't see anything from just 20 feet back and, indeed, friends who were looking for me couldn't see me poised on the very front edge of stage left with camera in hand. The alternative wouldn't have been pretty though and the festival made the best decision they could.
The Devil Wears Prada performs an amazing, energetic set whether they're on the most well designed stage or the dusty ground of a generator stage and this was no exception. By the time TDWP closed out their set with Hey John the crowd was delirious.

God bless!
Cindy Osborne

I was at Cornerstone 2009 and couldn't see Underoath or TDWP hardly at all on the Gallery Stage. All I saw during Underoath's set was smoke and flashing lights.
