ICC 'sends very clear message': 'Committing war crimes in response to war crimes is not acceptable'

The announcement that the ICC prosecutor is seeking an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant as well as Hamas leaders Yahya Sinwar and Ismail Haniyeh, is a signal to Israel that the international community will not accept the perpetration of "war crimes in response to war crimes", says Yossi Mekelberg, Associate Fellow of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Programme at Chatham House in London. Mr. Mekelberg also highlights that Israel did not heed Biden's prescient warning to learn from America's mistakes following 9/11. That depends on wether the first war crime was a retaliation to the second war crime, or if the second war crime was committed as a result of the first war crime, or if.the second war crime was against the first or second war crime or if the first war crime was against the second war crime.......I give up....

It is a simple situation: if Israel is confident that they haven't committed any war crimes, let Netanyahu and Gallant hand themselves over to the ICC. They will be tried and found not guilty. An innocent person doesn't fear being put on trial.
