In this episode, everyone is excited about having a game night. It's even implied that it was Peter's idea, and everyone is happy and having a good time. Years later they did another episode where Lois is trying to get the family to play games, and every single one of them just instantly declares it as the worst thing ever. It's like nowadays none of these characters are allowed to be likable, and most of the time the characters all have that exact same eyes half closed, completely uninterested look on their faces. And people honestly wonder why so many fans prefer older episodes of Family Guy!
