0:48 > I don't think I ever played this... did I? When the video ended Youtube recommended me "[Vinesauce] Vinny - Dementium Remastered" from 7 years ago. 😂

FUN FACT: Renegade Kid originally went to Konami asking if they could make a Silent Hill game, but they got turned down (in favor of the abysmal Silent Hill: Homecoming) so they ended up turning that into their own thing with Dementium.

I can honestly say this is the last game I expected to pop up in 2023. This was a wild experience on a ds.
  • @cpunching
Wow I never thought I'd ever see this game ever played again. This is an old ass ds game that I streamed for friends what feels like an entire lifetime ago. Thanks for the blast from the past Vinny.

Other than somehow requiring both hands to wield, the flashlight is pretty realistic. It actually illuminates entire rooms and not just a small focused area like a lot of these horror games.

The main melody is actually quite soothing, im surprised its not more grating given how often it repeats. Gives me king's field/silent hill ost vibes.

Vinny I remember you enjoying Discover My Body and Water Womb World, both by Yames. Yames has also released two other games you have yet to play, The Well [about 20 minutes] and Growing My Grandpa [about 90 minutes], in total about half a stream's worth of quality spookiness.

When vinny said this was a 3DS game I got confused because I remember the music and those zombos, but knew I didn't play it on 3DS...but it was originally on DS, which is pretty wild, so I must have played it on that.

The soundtrack was a certified crueltycore classic
  • @Tanookicatoon
I never played the first game, but this definitely puts it into perspective, why people were so excited about The Ward allowing you to hold the flashlight in your left hand. lol

What a game and surely one of the most unexpected ports

I bought and played this game on DS back in the day, when I was a pre-teen. I actually still have my original DS and the Dementium card; Both are kind of in rough shape from how much play time I put into them. Watching this video made the memory of some of these god-awful sound effects come flooding right back. 😅 This video was super nostalgic and enjoyable for me.

Gotta comment on the time moving fast comments he was making, Vinny gets to appreciate moments because he can have them, he's living a dream job where can take whatever days off he wants and only works about 4-5 hours a day if he wants meanwhile I work a dead end job that steals my time and energy so I don't get those moments, I wanna have those moments but I'm denied time with people who matter and it gets insanely frustrating. Gets even worse when you see people having fun and living it up while you can't even have the bare minimum of a hello. This world for people in my situation is literal Hell.
  • @Klarden
Oh good, Vinny did get to the best music track of the game with the wheelchair boss
  • @KnackFrost
Thanks Vinny for playing this, LOVE this game and crazy to see gameplay in 2023
  • @tvirusgetz
Man I do not remember the game being this aggressively dark lol

So many people having nostalgia for this game and I’ve never heard of it before
