I take a break from AI news for one week, and this is what I wake up to... a Bimorphic Humanoid.
  • @punyani775
Wow, Its knees aren't bent all the time and it can stand up straight. That's impressive in it of itself and the first of its kind so far.
  • projectile boost+ricoshot+arsenal+shredded+quickswap+fistfull of money lookin ahh robot

Our childhoods are literally manifesting and materializing before our very eyes. This is some really cool sh!t!!!!

Ability to turn legs and torso so the robot can turn 180 degrees without moving from site is very interesting. Their long time background trying to make an hydraulic robot clearly clarified them the limitations of hydraulic so they are now taking profit of what electric actuators can do, like 360 turns. Amazing they are the first who notice that while other companies are building electric humanoid robots since long time ago.

So here we have a T1. Only 799 versions to go...

Boston dynamics moves beyond the competition

Amazing! Next video: Atlas shoving technicians around with a hockey stick.
  • I wonder how many Teslabot engineers have soiled their pants after seeing this?
  • You can assume that even this model is already out of date! That's ONLY what "they" show us!
  • @pgabrieli
on the old atlas, those weren't big "wires" as you said (the ones limiting the range of movements), they were the high-pressure pneumatic lines!
  • @twistedyogert
It's kinda cute. I hope the old Atlas is donated to a museum because it is impressive.

There is nothing better then to load up can of coffee, watching TheAGRID, and be shocked right in to the future.
  • @DylannDayZero
When it started walking forward and twisted its body… omg so scary
