It always amazes me how dark you start off but then how amazing and right it looks by the end! I would be so scared to have such dark values in my work in fear of messing it up so badly but you've shown me it is actually okay to just go for it💓
  • There is a sense of beautiful imperfection or incompleteness in your paintings that I appreciate very much..
  • @moardub
So good! So many people have trouble with hands, myself included, but you make it look so effortless and in many instances I think your paintings looks better than the original reference.

There are heaps of techniques for drawing/painting hands/heads etc. Divide by 3, intersect lines etc etc but you just go screw all that and just paint it and it works every time. I like the way you think. :) I'm a landscape painter, and have to do a portrait, so rather than do all those techniques which mean you redo the painting over and over. I prefer your way, and you are helping me learn how to do what i need to. Thank you.

You inspire me!! Love these type of videos so much
  • I’m a beginner with oil paints. I watch your videos for tips and techniques. Thank you so much for sharing what you know about oil painting. I’m going to start off studying human anatomy and work my way from there. Mixing the colors I don’t quite got it 100% but I know with a lot of practice I will get it right . Again thank you 🙏🏼

You are the best teacher ever, I've watched a lot of your videos and they have helped me improve in so many ways, thanks for taking out time to share with us. Yeah, I sometimes get confused on how to mix a gold color using a limited pallet as you have suggested
