I swear every time Mikey gets involved in a project like this, an OSHA handbook bursts into flames.😂

First thought: Those are some nice outdoor chairs and solid.
  • @djfabio2749
The chairs that were thrown at the beginning of the video, if they are painted, can be reused as outdoor chairs. Since they cannot be done as quickly as the wooden ones. You can reuse them... They only need a coat of washable paint. 😅
  • Ya know there are folks that would buy that old lawn furniture..... I envision an auction..... Love your stuff.

Suggestion: Somewhere on this property you have to have a legit hardwood dance floor for some Texas two-steppin’. It’s required. See Paragraph 15, subsection 9 of the Texas Resort Handbook.

Please don't destroy those great old metal chairs from the pavilion. 😢
  • @BrianSimmons
Demo Tip - tear down things onto the slab/floor. It's 100 times easier to clean up because it's a hard flat surface. Once the debris gets outside this footprint, it's much harder to clean up.
  • That wire test is genius, just tried it this morning! My attorney is awaiting your correspondence.
  • @Diddy_Doodat
Can we get a limited time “Off the Ranch” shirt. Miss that name 🥲
  • I love the cave videos!! Reminds me of my 1st blind date with my hubby. We went to sequoia calif. for the weekend. He took me to a cave on the side of a mountain. I was so scared but so glad I did it! We’ve been married for 37yrs!
  • The cave videos STAYS! Maybe one day, you can build a small roof/house over it, so it doesn't get flooded, put in a spiral staircase with whisky tasting or something and just name it "the mancave" ;) Also, I think you should make the moon eclipse event a yearly thing.. of course, there will not be anymore putting out the sun, but you can have a camping festival with music and all. You can build a permanent stage, bbq pits etc. Can be big n' fun.

18:20 It would be cool if that pasture in the background was seeded with bluebonnets. Just think of the springtime diorama that would present when people got their wedding pictures taken from the new overlook.

"Mikey like a hurricane" sounds like a great shirt idea. A silhouette of Mikey with a sledgehammer and shingles flying. Lol
  • For digging the cave, you need a vacuum truck with a air blaster or water jetter. The jetter or air blaster will loosen the dirt and rocks and the vacuum hose will pull most of the loose material out...

Hey Matt!! I’m a civil engineering student at Murray State University in Ky, and just finished a course over sustainability and design within new construction. We mostly discussed different LEED certifications that you can achieve through different construction processes. I know in previous episodes you’ve talked about utilizing main structures like the restaurant and building from that, and you’ve built “sustainable” structures in the past. Have you considered looking into a green building certification like LEED or Green Globes for some of your structures on the resort? It would be cool to see something like that incorporated to the design process, and plus it aids with financial stability later on!
  • The clock is on the way, Matt! Hope you enjoy it as much as we did making it 🫡
  • @alisonpugin3401
What did the patio furniture do to incur such wrath .... ??
  • @tokensoftokens
Matt: "Mikey's like a hurricane!" My brain: " Here in Duckburg."
  • @profwaldo
My old boss used to say, "Don't stand there thinking about it, just hurry up and get it done" Later, as we were redoing the job I would say... "Why is there never enough time to plan and do it right the first time but always enough time to do it over ?" I fought with him on this for years. lol
