Feels like Joey's obsession with peeling stickers actually morphed into a skill that helps him remove the fish skin that gain him some extra points
  • i find it hilarious how the michelin star chef is the most generous reviewer while the google reviewer is the most harsh
  • @jocax188723
If you watch the chefs' reaction video Joey's skill is apparently next level, because instead of using the more flexible Sashimi knife (the Yanagi) he was told to do it with, Joey accidentally skinned the fish with the significantly stiffer deboning knife (the Deba), but did it perfectly, something that astounds and confuses Chef Koji to no end

Connor: 30:38 "I don't care if Meilyne give me bad score" Meilyne: *gave him bad score Connor: *surprised pikachu face

Can we take a moment to appreciate how hard Chef Koji was trying to communicate in English with the boys.
  • @SonicHaXD
The senpai is so wholesome, honestly felt like on the brink of tears every time he complimented them XD

Meylin: Connor, you didn't do too bad, taste was good. You get a 6. Also Meylin: Grant, you did shit. You pissed and shit in my food. dropped it on the floor then picked it up again and fed the dirty food to me. YOU GET A 6!!!!!

"I'm sorry, did you take a life today?!" LMAO. Legit think Joey was the only one that could do his recipe. I think they chose good recipes for each person. Connor's fit his sort of bull in China shop approach, garnt's fit his need for simple directions, and Joey's highlighted his ability to do delicacy and attention to really specific detail.

Chef Koji: Is the parent that will love you no matter what Mayline: A stereotypical asian parent whos never satisfied Chef Mac: Funny uncle
  • @sunandmoon4232
Chef Koji is the real MVP here, I feel like he really took consideration that the three of them are super duper beginners. I love how he actively praise them as well and highlighted the positive points instead of the negative ones. As a beginner it can be really discouraging to fail (even though it's very normal) and it can be nerve wracking to present your work to other people (let alone a Michelin star chef), so his positive reviews really warms my heart. He's a super kind and encouraging teacher.
  • @Zelphyn
Chef Koji is so cool, patient and humble while being so talented.
  • can we just appreciate the joke that the left judge said when he tasted Garnts dish: "Unlike Meilyn I don't poo poo everything the moment I taste it. It normally takes a few hours." Stellar comedy from this guy
  • @greyfox4838
that chef was such a good teacher, you could tell he wanted to compliment each of them just so they continue to learn to cook, everyone wishes they had a teacher like that
  • @Moridin69
Chef Koji is like that gushing teacher who wants the best for his students. So wholesome.
  • Joey’s entrance: nice and polite Connor’s entrance: aggressively confident Grant’s entrance: internally screaming
  • @lazy2335
Mayline proved 100% that parents have favourites
  • @tigerdactyl6958
1:06:38 Chef Mac is a part time comedian. Chef Mac judges beginners fairly, Chef Koji praises his children for making edible dishes, and Judge Meilyne disappointed the meal didn't do her taxes.
  • - Joey drew the long straw with that dish - Grant pulled the short draw with his dish - And Meilyne cheated Connor out of second
  • Man Meilyne did Conner dirty, wasn't his fault that the dish came with scales Bruh how did Garnt get a 6 from her when there was a bone in it LMAO
  • @a3s1rr88
Connor: yours is so good compared to mine Chef Koji: bruh. it's almost like i cook for a living
