Indian Ringneck Owner, what has been your experience owning these parrots?
  • @mlsh1000
They are very intelligent, i got my first one this year and he already knows how to open doors, drawers, locks, you name it. I taught him none of this. He learned to do all these thing on his own. Im lucky hes a lover not a fighter cuz sometimes i just find him chilling in someone elses cage 😅 he likes slumber parties
  • Ringnecks compete with licensed opium farmers for 'harvest', as they seem to know the perfect time to chomp the pods off of the plant, and to make their get-away with an extra length of the straw (as the straw contains opium, too). They then fly off to their respective trees, get "bombed", pass out, and fall to the ground...
  • As a new indian ringneck owner, I found this to be the most helpful description of this bird. Very informative and balanced.

Ringnecks are my favorite inside bird. I had 2ringnecks many years ago. I moved and couldn't take them with me. I miss them.
  • I just put a down payment on my first Indian ringneck and I’ve been visiting him everyday until I can bring him home♥️ I can’t wait

I love Omar's. I have bought several parrots from them, and they quickly developed into sweet, affectionate pets.

I used to have one. They can be very loud and do have a musty smell. They are so beautiful and I love all the colors they come in.

"Little doll" voices is how I heard them described, but stuffed bunny rabbit also very good description!

I love your videos and you are very informative. You were actually the reason why I decided against getting an IRN at first. But then I found one close by and it was only 4 weeks old when I got him. We are in the bluffing stage right now. It's truly rough. I get bit constantly but it's worth it in the long run. 🖤
  • Hyperactive cat on point Unfortunately yes they aren't cuddly but yet you know they love you

Absolutely love your informative videos! Look forward to more! I own IRNs and I belive they can be really affectionate and cheeky pets, if they have been properly handfed and socialised. So a lot depends on the breeder. Also, we need to interact with them on a regular basis to sustain the attachment. My IRNs do not scream; they are closely bonded with other medium sized parrots and lead quite interesting fun-filled lives.
  • Just came across your channel thank you for informing ppl of the IRN. I have a sweet blue baby, named Nugget. He's only 5 months old right now, he is such a sweet heart, and very smart. Already gives kisses and im training him to talk. This bird is very misunderstood especially when it comes to the bluffing stage. Another good thing to train your IRN is taking a bath, this will cut down on the dust they give off. If you want an IRN, do your research first, get a handfed baby. They are easier to deal with and train. Thank you for all your information!

I love that you did this video Clint’s reptile style it makes it a really fun way to learn about these birds!! And 2k is not bad for an awesome buddy to talk to. I have seen snakes go for that much and they have 0 personalities.
  • i have kept them for more than 20 years, the most beautiful and best pet to keep. Highly recommended

Omg!! 😭 I'm so glad I found this video! I was seriously about to call the bird store about my female IRN thinking she hated me. Turns out she's bluffing,so I'm gonna try to work thru this!❤️
