To illustrate importance of quick buffing, I first showed how I can get beaten severely. Then watch at 1:17 for a nearly flawless victory (I have done it in the past and will continue to try and get a recording of me pulling it off) against Bigieu (Beautiful Beast), the penultimate boss in the Hawk (Hawkeye)/Lise (Riesz) quest. Note that techs are turned off (and I never use magic) and I have her trapped in a corner but I don't have to move (notice Carlie remains still). Thing to consider for next time:
1. Start with Carlie as the controlled character (or perhaps as Kevin just to more quickly get him to transform).
2. Keep/use the Hammer and/or Mama Poto Oils so I don't have to use 3 individual Stardust Herbs (that might have allowed Bigieu to get her second attack in).
3. Rebuff after making myself big again (would have finished more quickly).
4. Earth Jutsu? (lower Bigieu's evade rate).
5. Give a Drake's Scale to Kevin instead of Death Wolf Soul (which has effect of Energy Ball, which theoretically increases critical hit rate, but critical hit rate is bugged in this game).
