Shawn has my highest respect he fought everyone no ducking with him RESPECT brother.
  • Just a reminder: Shawn has been a champion multiple times. He fought literally all the best fighters of his generation and beat some but gave them all hell.
  • One of the most beautiful and respectful interviews of all time! Congratulations to Shawn Porter on his phenomenal career and well done to Kenny Porter his father. I hope all fathers and future fathers Watch this and are filled with joy to do greatness for their children 🙏🏾 ❤

Hat's off to Brother Ken, I'm glad people are finally giving him the credit he deserves for being a great father and raising a great son.

ESPN talked about a story (I personally never heard before) in which Kenny feels guilty about his brother's death when they were kids.. Kenny talking about how he had it planned to throw the towel on this fight if he didn't like what he saw. I don't think he would be able to handle it if Shawn was ever seriously hurt in a fight on his watch. Cognizant of that, I understand his perspective on his decision today.

Radio Raheem this interview may not get the views you want but... it was one of you’re best black man ✊🏾🧙🏾‍♂️

Respect to him as a father I know how he felt at that moment
  • Shawn is going to take a year off and then comeback without his father. He will have a new trainer. I think it’s just the end of the road for his dad training him. If you have watched the interaction between the 2 during training, his father has all the answers. Shawn has been in the game a long time and a fighter needs to have some input on how he fights because it’s his body. A coach a trainers voice can get old and sometimes you need a new voice. Porter will be back, the people want to see him fight.
  • The only reason Shawn Porter's retiring is because he do not want to fire his father that's facts
