The cerebral cortex can be divided into 4 main lobes: frontal lobe, parietal lobe, occipital lobe, and temporal lobe. Each lobe of the cerebrum has its own anatomy and function including executive functioning, movement, and processing sensory stimuli such as touch, vision, hearing, taste, smell, and proprioception
The cerebrum is made up of an outer grey matter layer called the cerebral cortex that surrounds the inner white matter layer. The folded cortex forms gyri (gyrus) and sulci (sulcus).
You will also learn simple tricks to remember the main functions of each lobe, and receive a brief discussion on the limbic system and insular cortex.

Scientific research has proven that gratitude affects the brain’s reward system. Its correlation with the release of dopamine and serotonin is well established. Gratitude has been directly linked to increased happiness…..Your crisp explanatory video did indeed fire my happy hormones neurotransmitters ! So a Big Thank You !!!

Thank you so much! Even Engineers can as well learn as much, with the clear presentation and how interesting and visually stimulating it can be as an addition to reading through the books..

This video is amazing! Thank you so much. Keep up the good work

Excellent presentation... thx so much! I work with a lotta folks with substance abuse issues, and I forget the role of dopamine particularly in judgement & higher functions in general. And of course one of the primary impacts of long-term addiction is a serious dopamine 'imbalance'!

I watched the entire lecture and made notes v easily grasped everything so just wanted to leave this comment as a token of appreciation well done sir

Great video, was helpful in improving my understanding of the different lobes and their associated functions. May I know where the limbic system video has gone? Would like to watch that too
