As we await the release of Pokémon Scarlet's and Violet's second DLC, The Indigo Disk, it's the perfect time to revisit some of the unknowns and clues Game Freak subtly left for us during the base game. Today, let's delve into the intriguing theory around Paradox Pokémon, suggesting they might be a creation of the imagination of Professors Turo and Sada, and that Heath's book about Area Zero could be entirely fictitious.
Do these allegations hold weight? Are Paradox Pokémon mere products of imagination, or do they have a basis in reality? Could the Legendary Disk, possibly Terapagos, have brought them to life based on the Scarlet and Violet books? Join me in exploring whether Game Freak and Nintendo have been keeping secrets from us since the very beginning... About this Pokémon from the past or the future.

There's a book at the Malie library where it says that when Lunala/Solgaleo arrived in Alola the Tapus attacked it but neither side could defeat the other. In other words the Tapus where not created by Lunala/Solgaleo.

I have two theories about the legendary beasts and swords of justice being fused in the books. A) The originals were singular beasts that eventually split by some time, evolution, or mystical stuff. B) (seems more plausible to me) The artists saw the respective group (huddled) together from a distance and misinterpreted what he saw as a singular being.

One interesting thing of note is that the Great Tusk / Iron Treads that Heath sees, is different to the ones we see in the games, almost as if Sada / Turo remembered the photos differently and the Paradoxes we see in the games are Sada / Turos interpretations of the photos from their memories.

Very interesting video! I love that it addresses both possibilities of the paradoxes. I myself lean more towards the Imagination Theory due to the sketches being inconsistent (though it would be cool if we do end up being able to fuse the Future Swords and Past Beasts), the Paradoxes having details in their designs that mirror the Professor’s (while yes, the Past Paradoxes look more primal, they also have makeup and a bit of a punk aesthetic), and the Dex entries saying they resemble Pokémon, but not related to them. Another funny tidbit is Iron Bundle belonging to a past civilization, yet we see no remains of it anywhere (same goes for the Past Paradoxes having no fossils of themselves) and Iron Valliant cutting down anything in front of it yet it can curtsy to its trainer in one of its idle animations. I love that Game Freak has given us such a fun mystery to theorize over, and I’m really looking forward to Part 2 and the answers it holds.

I don't think heath was a fraud, but the paradox pokemon themselves were created by the crystals powering the "time" machine. The crystals are said to be able to refine and alter technology. But we also know fragments can be used to influence the terra type of pokemon who consune them directly. And that's just a temporary flash of power when the terra orb is involved. What if a pokemon were to spend large amounts of time around them? What if they were exposed to a MASSIVE amount of energy these crystals radiate all at once? The crystals can affect anything given enough of them and enough time. I definitely think terrapagos is the treasure referenced in area zero. I definitely dont think the tine machine works like its name implies. The professor just thinks it does.

I have a theory that the time machine isn't a time machine but rather a trans dimensional portal. Think of it like a Stargate. and the books act like gateways to allow certain paradox Pokémon.

a friend of mine has brouhgt up the point that we see the professors teleport with the time machine and that an imagination manifestation machine wouldn't need to teleport because it's rediculous. plus it woulnd't have any prexisting thoughts or memories without some levels of time traveling.
  • Could go either way, but i do wanna say, parts of the book checking out does not necessarily mean he Heith didn't lie. Lots of expeditions into "untamed land" saw people drawing out accurate (or at least semi accurate) maps of the explored areas. However, they would often desire more fame than just simple map making, leading them to invent creatures. One if the more famous ones was the De Lays' Ape, which even had faked photo evidence.

I think the paradox Pokemon are real Pokemon some are from the past and some are from the future the paradox is the time machine itself. ..How can somebody wish for a time machine in the present and then it exists in the past and the future. So they're actually bringing real Pokemon into current time it's just that there are paradox because they shouldn't be there.

I always play the game on handheld and i swear it feels like Im the only one who doesn’t experience such game breaking glitches like I’ve seen on youtube. Worst thing Ive experienced is dropping frame rates.
  • @TC70
Maybe their time machines work like future trunkses and they do exist but its from another timeline These timelimes are confirmed to have existed, like the original games and the mega evolution universes hinted at in orases delta episode. So maybe they are from parallel universes where they do exist This serves to explain ultra beasts too if im not mistaken.

fits perfect with black and white games two different movies different perspective

Damn i wanted to see the Futuristic city of Paradox Pokemon
  • @eXi101
my longest thought was the fact that these pokemon, or ‘creatures’ aren’t actually from a specific point of time, but brought from another world/dimension entirely. and that could be what the time machine actually is, which would be a portal. just a thought though and i hope that the DLC will reveal the true answer to all of our questions
