People never give Fox credit defensively. He led the league in the steals. Now that they have DeRozan, he can concentrate on becoming even more of a two way player

demar derzon and dearon fox: two players in the top 5 in clutch. yeah kings are going be the best team in the clutch and will make the western conference finals

Just got done watching AlexHoops vids on the Kings. You are right, they arent messing around at all. Keep up the great content. Let's get you to 100k by the end of the year. Go bulls 😭

duarte and barnes solid defenders lmao, Kings will be much better with this move and their defense was not bad last season, it was their offense that really took a turn for the worse
  • I’m not too worried about the Kings defense. Barnes for DeRozan is a lateral move defensively; coming from a Kings fan who watched nearly every game, Barnes was a negative most of the time on defense and DeRozan, while not being much better, likely won’t be much worse either. Duarte and Mitchell do suck to lose defensively, but Off Night’s size limited his matchups frequently and Duarte barely cracked the rotation and played incredibly inconsistently on both ends when he did. Post Monk and Huerter injuries, the Kings had a statistically pretty good defense with a top 10 defensive rating in the league. During this time, Keon Ellis was starting. He’s only 6’3” but has a 6’9” wingspan, is a very very high IQ defender in terms of floor management, and is a knock down shooter in the games he’s played, shooting upwards of 42% from 3. In the summer league and towards the end of last season, we also saw him be a solid finisher and playmaker on offense (not great but solid). Rolling out a lineup of Fox/Ellis/DeRozan/Murray/Sabonis is very good on the perimeter, with Fox being a very good, very fast defender, Murray being able to guard 1-4 very proficiently, and Ellis seemingly serving as a defensive anchor and elevator for the entire team like he did last year. The interior is still a problem, as DeRozan adds little to no length and Sabonis, while being a competent defender, is not a good rim protector. In the bench, Devin Carter seems to essentially be Off Night but with length; once he’s back he will be a great backup defensively. Malik and Red Velvet both are not particularly good defenders, being decent at best. Trey Bae is a very solid interior defender but can’t guard the perimeter. Alex Len adds a lot of size and decent rim protection. If we can add more wings with good length to the team then I think we’ll be in a very good spot defensively, and as it is we’ll be solid staggering minutes between guys.

Kings are NOT fuccin around! Who wants some?
  • @lmchankins
The Kings have 4 players now who averaged over 5 assists per game last year, the last and only other time this happened in NBA history was the 2020-21 Nets. The key difference between these teams is the King's 4 stays on the court.

Many beams will be lit in the pursuit of the one ring to rule them all! 😂

People giving this a C grade and saying this trade won't amount to anything are fools. You switch out HB for a certified all star and clutch guy and that won't result in more wins? You kidding, right? Kings lost 10 games last season by 5 or less so put a few of those in the W column and you'll get 50 wins.
  • @thatstheway2429
Kings were a top 5 defensive team when Keon Ellis was on the floor last year. Helped them take the jump up to 14. That’s why I think Keon is the starting 2 next year.
  • @milesgreb3537
Also the kings don't get to the line because of ref bias. This isn't like some whiny fan claim. It's a evey well known fact
  • The Kings were an average defensive team last year. You know, that thing you said they need to be
  • @lokitrckstr
I liked the video but the bad defense narrative is not very educated. They actually had a pretty good defense to finish last year (post all star break).
  • @Jay-hi3lt
Great video . I am a Kings season ticket holder and they really stepped up there defense in the last quarter of the season . If that can continue into this season this team will be a dangerous team to watch this year .
  • @SKOOBZTERZ
Kings fans I’m a kings fan .. but let’s pump the brakes and win a series first
  • @Wban23
    Monk isn’t a 3&D player
  • Bro omg you're on your way to 100k Subs! I was there when you only had 1k subs on your Bulls channel bro the growth is amazing you really busted your ass to get here
  • Excellent video bro! I'm a Kings fan and I'm watching directly from Brazil. I think Bobby Portis would be an incredible fit on this team, and probably wouldn't cost us much, but I'd also be happy with Cam Johnson
