I met James Kotak at a club in Hollywood where we went for a MSG concert a few years ago. It was shortly after he had been fired from the scorpions and was working to revive his original band kingdom come. I didn’t find out about his death until April 13 when I saw the scorpions in Las Vegas and they did a tribute song in his memory. He may not have been a big star, but he was truly a very down to earth and friendly person. RIP my friend.
  • Thanks for the wonderful times and entertainment you've given us, God bless you and your families. PEACE AND LOVE TO EVERYONE ❤❤.

To be honest, the only person I know from this list of people was M. Emmet Walsh. I'd never heard of any of the others. Not that I'm the standard, but I'd be willing to bet it's why their deaths never made big news. A lot of little known people from the entertainment world die and we never hear of it. And for reference, M. Emmet Walsh's death was mentioned on a lot of sites and shows, including mainstream media. I'm not really sure he should be included in this list.

I was mentored by a famous writer and actor, he was on Bonanza years ago, wrote a book called Too Rich:Murder of Doris Duke and helped produce the original American Gladiators show. Among other things, he died back in fall last year. Never got the recognition although people probably didn't know he passed
  • No offense to anyone. May they all rest in peace. I am NOT surprised that these artists' passings went mostly ignored by the media. I have known since I was a child that there are A LOT of wonderful artists in the world, but the media only promotes the chosen few, for a variety of reasons. These are generally the ones who are making the titans of the entertainment industry the most millions. These folks are shoved down our throats (e.g. Madonna, New Kids on The Block, NSYNC, Justin Bieber, etc.) while others (e.g. Steve Earle, Lucinda Williams, RUSH, etc.) are ignored.
