  • The boat rental places at Lake pleasant understand when to stop renting boats because of the storm or impending storm... Boat owners really need to check in with them if they are unsure whether it's safe.

Oh yah, great day for a swim. Go do it. Loved the video.
  • Wind events mean take your boat out of the water if you can. Monsoon season in AZ is no joke.

I've been on lake pleasant dozens of times and yes, it can get nasty in a hurry. If you see black clouds coming (usually from the north) DO NOT TRY TO CROSS THE LAKE AND GET TO THE BOAT RAMP, THAT IS WHAT EVERYONE ELSE IS DOING. First, you have to cross the lake where it's the roughest, then you get to a ramp that's jammed full of other boats. What you do is find a cove, either pull up on the shore if smooth shoreline or throw out your anchors, tie a rope off to a tree if available and ride the storm out. In the cove with hills on both sides gives you a windbreak and the waves will be minimal. You may get wet from the rain but so what, you've been swimming all day anyway. Again, DO NOT HEAD FOR THE BOAT RAMPS!!!!! Also, if you catch yourself getting hit by these winds be sure to get your life vests on.
  • Start the boat and go head on. Always stay away from shoreline during wind storms. 😂

I've been out there many times on my PWC, when you see those clouds forming you head to shore, load up and get the hell out of there, you can always go back another day. These folks are clowns that have no business boating.

It was a great day out until the storm started to roll in, saw a lot of people showing up right at about 4 just about when we were getting our boat loaded up is when it started sprinkling. There was more people putting their boat in the water than taking it out. Stupidity at its finest
