Skarsgård stars as "Boy" who avows revenge after his family is murdered by Hilda Van Der Koy (Janssen), the deranged matriarch of a corrupt post-apocalyptic dynasty that left the boy orphaned, deaf and voiceless. Driven by his inner voice, one which he co-opted from his favorite childhood video game, Boy trains with a mysterious shaman (Ruhian) to become an instrument of death and is set loose on the eve of the annual culling of dissidents. Bedlam ensues as Boy commits bloody martial arts mayhem, inciting a wrath of carnage and blood-letting. As he tries to get his bearings in this delirious realm, Boy soon falls in with a desperate resistance group, all the while bickering with the apparent ghost of his rebellious little sister.

Whoever thought to have H. Jon Benjamin be Skarsgård's inner voice is a genius and deserves a raise.

The fact that Yayan Ruhian a.k.a. Mad Dog from The Raid movies is in this movie made me so excited for the action scenes. He deserves so many big action roles and Hollywood better not waste his talent. He's 55 years old and can still kick ass like a beast!

This film had to be shot around 2021 because Cameron Crovetti who plays the younger version of Boy was shooting Amazon Prime's The Boys series and now he is all grown-up. The fact that Andrew Koji aka Ah Sahm is an ally to The Boy with the Raid Actor Yayan Ruhian as The Boy's trainer I am already sold by this movie.

Just finished watching this movie, it's good to see they use yayan ruhian as mad dog fighting character scene. This is what we want an unmerciful mad dog character fighting!!!👍🏼 Awesome 😎

This movie was awesome. Just saw it last night. Freaking awesome. The action was badass and the story was actually pretty good. Definitely recommend it.
