  • Played this song at my son's funeral 💔 He and I love the Hip...I saw the reaction and how Gord's death affected my son, who also was battling brain cancer. I chose this song because I knew that he was Scared and my son loved the lyrics " Gotta go, its been a pleasure doing business with you!"💔 Miss you so much, and I will Love you forever, plus a day my dear Son ❤️ 😢

I love you Gord. Thank you for standing there with me in the darkest hours. Even after you are gone, I feel every powerful word you spoke. I feel what you did for the wenjack family. A TRUE Canadian. I love you so much friend.

You don’t listen to the Hip with your ears you listen with with your heart! What a band!

Five men who made music and, in doing so, said more than I could have ever hoped for. Thank you!!!

Some songs make tears roll down your face. This is one of them.
  • Thank you Gordie ❤️ I love that line “I Gotta go. Been a pleasure doing business with you.” To me that always encompassed the Canadian spirt. Canada loves you forever Gord

It is times like these with lockdowns and isolation that I wish Gordo was still here.

I remember Canada Day in Central Park NY, seeing the Hip with a couple of Canadian buds. Amazing concert. One favorite moment Gord starts singing "Does anyone have a belt?" over and over again..I thought it was part of the song or an improv... Guy up front realized the truth. Gord wanted to borrow a belt. His pants kept falling down while he was jumping around on stage. Belt applied mid song, they rocked on.

I wish i joined my dad at the New Farm, to meet the hip a year before Gord died. Me and my buddies were too busy ripping around in my new fairlane to stop in. But he gave my dad a couple hours of his undivided, genuine attention. a Dream come true for my dad who has had the hip with him through everything. Cheers from the hills of Creemore, Ontario.

Three years and the world still feels too empty without Gord.

I'm the only one in Philly who loves The Hip. I saw them in Calgary with a girl I knew. It was 2009. She was beautiful, but I couldn't take my eyes off of Gordy. I miss them both. I could still visit her though.....
