Allan Skill Cole was Bob Marley's close Friend so why won't he see the Movie?

He looks dam good for his age can you imagine if Bob Marley was still alive? Bob Marley would probably look as good as that also.

I went to the National Stadium to watch Skill Cole play against Pele and Santos FC. He was about 15 years old at the time and was regarded as the best player Jamaica ever produced. Pele was very impressed with his skills.

I used to see Alan & Bob Marley play soccer when he used to live at Water St off Windward Rd in Franklyn town in the early 70s Bob,Peter, Bunny always be there .

With all due respect, Bob Marley was so young when he transition. There are things his children will remember and there are memories that others have. I don't think it is possible to tell this man's story without leaving out details. We all have the liberty to go back to the very beginning and gain some understanding of what the Legacy means. ⁠​⁠Y’all act like the movie portrayed some grand love story between Bob and Rita. She said in her book that they were like brother and sister that’s exactly what the movie depicted. She also wrote that both her and Bob got physical with each other on numerous occasions so that scene where she slapped him may have not been accurate but abuse did happen on both ends. The movie was about the message and what happened after his assassination attempt. Ziggy has made that clear it was not a biopic. People want Bob and Cindy to be more than it was but his actions stated otherwise. He was married whether he told people or said it in interviews he was married and he could have easily gotten divorced. In both his mother Cedella’s book and Rita’s book they talk about how Cindy was upset that Bob wouldn’t divorce Rita to marry her. She was just around all the time but she wasn’t the only one or the love of his life. Bob had 3 kids by 3 different women BEFORE Rita had Stephanie then 4 more after that. Rita didn’t have another kid until 5 years after Bob passed. Rita accepted all of his kids and made sure they stayed together. She admits she had another relationship too it’s no secret. Cindy was married 3 months after Bob died. He sent her away in the end Rita was there.

First of all, respect to Mr Cole, but I have an issue with him judging a movie he hasn't seen. He is obviously making his assessment on hear say. I sense a rift between him and the Marley family.. Why would the Marley family not retain him as a consultant for the movie if he was Bob's friend..doesn't look like the relationship between Ziggy Marley and Alan Cole are as cozy as there were between Bob and Alan...and I bet you the Marleys have their own story why

How would Ziggy and Rita have in depth knowledge into Bob and Cindy's relationship? As far as they know, she was another one of Bob's extramarital affairs and yet another baby mother as they were so many. My biggest question, which others should ask theirselves as well, is: HOW IS BOB'S AFFAIR WITH CINDY AND THEIR PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP BE RELEVANT IN THE MOVIE? Why would they need to show clips into their affair. This movie was focused on sections of his musical journey. If they inserted Cindy more than they did, they would have to insert all his other affairs and baby mamas which is not what the movie was about. They did mention them collectively in the Bob and Rita fight in France. What more do people need? The movie did not go in depth in Bob and Rita's relationship either, except the fight in France and the phone booth call to England. She was prominent in the movie because she was always around as his backup singer. And quite frankly she was thee most significant woman in Bob's life and remained his wife. Who wah vex vex. Bob's friend Allan seems very bias and can only speak from his side and what Bob chose to tell him so he does not know everyone's truth.

Mr Cole is saying the movie is a lie and he hasn’t seen it. SMH! It’s a movie, scenes will be dramatized. He is here acting as if he was sleeping and living in the same room as Bob and Rita everyday. As it relates to Cindy, her character was referenced in the movie. Ziggy wanted to tell the story of the relationship between his parents during two of the roughest years of his father’s life and it was well told. Rita has always been by Bob’s side. Where is the lie in this? Cindy’s social media post was inappropriate! She had a relationship with Rita’s husband for the world to see in the late 70’s. This must’ve been humiliating for Rita. Don’t rub it in 2024. We already know the deal; Bob had several women, including Cindy. Let it rest!

Give him time, let him finish the book. I can’t wait to read it.

If he saw the movie and critiqued it I would respect him more.

So many children were made after Cindy … Cindy was just another baby mother I’m afraid ..she didn’t convict him into monogamy .. the man had another woman pregnant while he was dying … if she had gotten him to stop being a gyallis then I would have been interested in her part .. but if it’s just another baby mama they would’ve had to highlight allll the others … I would’ve just left them out too… let’s be honest … people only feel so strongly because Cindy was their precious Ms World or whatever .. but the evidence shows that many children were conceived after their relationship … she was as special as all the others … but Rita secured Bobs legacy

Jamaicans are users , they complain that they should have used a Jamaican to play bob but what have Jamaica done for bob marley ? They used bob marley image music and character to promote Jamaica tourism and Reggae but what did they name after bob Marley? You can’t name a airport or put his face on our money but we can name places after people who don’t nothing for Jamaica 🇯🇲?
