The Tragedy of the Saboteur

Rented this game shortly after its release from GameFly. I was in the Navy at the time. Barracks life! I don't remember beating the game, but getting really close. I had a good time with it. I miss 'different' games like this. Games have lost alot of their identity. There used to be something that made most games what they were. They usually had a specific 'gimmick' Now everything is mostly copy/paste it seems. Good game. It's worth your time.

Rented, then bought, this here game. Blowing stuff up, then making Sean walk away, facing the camera, and having him light up a cig. Action hero moment right there. XD

Fizhy unlocked a childhood memory here. The saboteur was one of the first games I ever played. Had countless hours on it as a kid. Shame we'll never see a sequel.

This is one of my favorite open world games from that era. So unique. It's heavily underrated that's for sure!

This game took a new perspective of WW2 by making you just a normal civilian, rebelling against Nazi controlled France. It was such a great game. Wish it would be remastered or just rereleased for consoles

Underrated game

I just finished the game a couple of weeks ago, was probably one of the best games ive played so far, the story, the gameplay, the map, everything just felt so good. I also havent encountered any bugs or so apart from a random german truck launching itself into the stratosphere

It is good to see people giving recognition to The Saboteur. IMO a very underrated game. Watching this video, does bring back good memories

I only discovered this game by finding some gameplay of it on Youtube a few years ago. I'm surprised I never knew it existed back in the day, especially since I was playing lots of forgotten GTA clones at the time, like the Godfather games and Scarface: The World is Yours.

Ah I remember buying this game from my local pawn shop for 3 dollars back in 2017. I had just moved out and hadn't set up internet in my apartment yet, so story missions were my go to. I loved it. Although it's a little clunky, but it was made with love, just like this video! Thank you Fizhy! ❤

It's always bugged me that this game does not have a larger modding community.

This was a Great Game ahead of its time while going hard into the times of action adventure games. Just a fun off beat game that deserved more eyes on it!

I never understood why Pandemic Studios dissolved. They made a lot great games back in the 2000s. Destroy All Humans 1 & 2, Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction, Star Wars frickin Battlefront 1 & 2, Saboteur. Whatever happened was not due to their lack of trying or output.

This is, by far, one of my favorite games I played when I had the PS3. I didn't think much of it when I bought it. It was cheap and the setting was in World War II Paris. The art style looked good too so I took a chance on it. And I'm glad I did. I loved this game so much I let a friend borrow it after I finished the story. The atmosphere just brings you closer and makes you really feel you're part of the world that Sean's in. The sound design is good and the music really sets the tone. I do like the black and white feel like you're in a film noir type environment and once liberated you can feel life once again come back to that district/area. The controls at times are a little wonky but not horrible, it was easy to control nonetheless. I even like the small details they did such as if you go into the settings you have the option to remove the profanity and Sean replies to this and turning it off he does the same. It's a shame this game didn't get the recognition it deserves nor a sequel. It kind became like LA Noire with Team Bondi.

The music alone is worth a playthrough :)

I love how this games gives you guns that will not be invented for years and the Germans invade France in 1940 ignoring Poland existence completely
