Curiosity: My Life as a Nonverbal Disabled Individual

Published 2024-08-02
As a non-verbal disabled person, it can be difficult to get people to interact with me like a normal human being. I'm just like any other person on this earth. The typical person does not want to be talked to in baby talk or have people say they are sorry for how you are. Just be kind and talk to and interact with the next disabled person you come across! #kindnessmatters #friendsinlowplaces #caesarsresorts #thelinq @gracieclaire9 #gracieclaire9 #gracieclairesauer #AGS #aicardigoutieressyndrome #wheelchairlife #specialneeds

When I see someone disabled I feel like I should just look the other way. I was always taught to never stare because it is perceived as being rude. Never realized I should just be myself and engage and talk. But then again I don't know what type of mood the caretaker is in or the disabled person. I will have a more open heart and just be myself from now on.
