I'm Canadian . Momz is white and dad is black. Grew up around alot of Indians, Pakistanis, Afghans & iranians . Mr. Khan reminds me of most of my boys fathers i grew up with and made my childhood Wayy more cooler 😂😁. I would be having the worst day and the uncles would know how to make me laugh. 💖😂😁

I love this show. I’m half Pakistani and it reminds me of my mother’s side of the family. Also, the actress who plays Naani is my Aunt
-
I wasn’t sure about this when it started. But it was a gem. Unfortunately programs like mind your language can never happen again.

The game of cricket will never be the same again.

"How late ? " "Very" "Naani's very late" "The late Naani" XD

One of the best shows. I can't understand why 'Friends' is still aired on TV but not this gem. I'm from India btw.

I can't believe this show was poorly rated, it's bloody hilarious 😂

My mum and myself absolutely loved this show. We always loved the BBC comedys in NZ.

the ginger joke makes me laugh everytime. Don't know how Dave managed to keep a straight face., Khan classic.

“Gives us unlimited talk time, always a good signal and pray as we go” 😂🤣😂🤣😂

I grew up in Sparkhill. Love this show! 😂

This show is hidden gem among comedy sitcoms
-
Man, I love this show. There were so many moments that made me burst out laughing for minutes straight!
-
One of my all time favourite. Wonderful times they were.. funny and happy 😊
-
Brilliant acting by Adil Ray, in this under-rated comedy. One of the best written, funny sit coms ever produced. The Khan family are superb too. Overall a show that ought to bring people together. If Sparkhill wasn't on the map before it certainly will be now.

The original story line with the characters was written by a Pakistani lady ‘Pumpi Moore’. It was based upon her personal experiences within the Pakistani families she met when she arrived in the UK. It was a humorous take on British Pakistanis and their cultural conflicts with British society. The manuscript was presented to the BBC but they declined saying they didn’t have funds etc or it was not of current interest to them. A couple of years later this show appeared on national TV. I still have her original handwritten manuscripts with her directions lying forgotten in some box somewhere,

"Chup Chup Chup Chup I said Chup! IS THIS NOT BLODDY WORKING?" 😅

I have watched the entire series and I personally love the ladies very much. Today, I have played this in my IELTS A1 class. Thanks much.
