I only learned about R’bonney when she won the Ms. Universe crown. It’s a cliché but it did make me proud to see someone with Filipino bloodline succeed in the Western world, all the more globally. She’s carried herself really well despite the allegations. She’s perfectly gorgeous outside and extremely wise inside - very definition of beauty and brains! From then on I followed her causes during her reign and she delivered, slayed EVERY SINGLE TIME. I continue to support her until now because her humility and authenticity radiates from within her. Learning more about her now that she’s shared part of her story and the beginnings of her journey, I couldn’t help but realise that while she’s not a beteranang kontesera like our usual local beauty queens, her personal experiences & passions prepared her for the crown. She’s always destined to be QUEEN. Thank you Toni and team for giving her the platform to reach out to mainstream Pinoy audience. When I saw R'bonney competing in Miss USA and eventually she won. I never doubted her to win the Miss Universe crown. She's spontaneous, intelligent, creative and most of all very relevant to what she advocated for. Her mental capability brought her to what she'd dreamed before. Her craft moved her evidently of what the majority want to see her perspire. She's Miss Universe for all.
