Published 2024-07-19
We are hauling out our aluminium sailing catamaran, she is getting high and dry in the boatyard ready to have a big birthday. We have been planning maintenance and changes for about 6 months now and we are coming out of the water so we can do some big changes to her!

Join us in the shipyard for some fun!

ABOUT US:
Ahoy! We are the James Family, a family of three sailing around the world and sharing our adventures in family-friendly episodes every week! Sam is originally from New Zealand, Cait is originally from the United States; we met in Cairns, Australia and a few years later during Covid-19 we eloped and then a year later our family grew and we welcomed Charlie! We took the big plunge in 2022 and decided to follow our dream, sold everything, and purchased an old, unfinished, aluminum Catamaran and we are now are fixing her up as we sail around the world. Subscribe and follow our journey!

Amazing to see the boat hauled out - looks awesome
  • Must admit it looks a lot safer hauling out cats on a trailer than using a slings lift. Looking forward to seeing what your plans are that neccesitate a haul out. Hull wasnt too bad all considering.
  • @FrankJamger
Haul out went well, good luck with the changes.

Thank you again for taking the time to share part of your life with us. So I take it you guys are staying on the boat on dry dock while you're working on her. I love the dog he was just laying there while they were blocking her up and could have cared less about anything. Can't wait to see what you're going to do to her. As always stay safe out there and God bless

Old mate under your cat on the trailer was game, very crocy around those creeks 🐊
  • Good Episode Caite. Finally some of your bright effervescent personality is coming out in Videos. Paul Kakadu (Townsville)

I prefer those lift trailers vs slings. Interesting to see diy blasting vs yard staff doing it. Guess we'll find out next vid, but interested if you can sleep in the yard

Great video, thanks for sharing 👍 ❤
  • SO is this where the saying "up the creek in a barbwire canoe without a paddle" came from? All those boats slowly dying.. is kinda sad.. Thanks for the video.
