Here is a real-time video of I-24 East through the Chattanooga area from the Georgia-Tennessee state line near Lookout Mountain to I-75 just southeast of downtown. I decided to showcase this video in real-time to give you a true feel for what it is like traveling this stretch of highway -- which is often congested. I find driving videos presented in real-time to be very relaxing so I hope you find this one to be relaxing!

I-24 is a pivotal route though Tennessee as it connects Chattanooga (& Atlanta via I-75) with the state capital city of Nashville and other points northwest (namely St. Louis and Chicago by way of I-64 & I-57). As a result, I-24 carries a great deal of trucks which can create some nasty traffic. You'll see towards the end of the video that TDOT is working on expanding I-24 as well as continuing making improvements to the 24/75 split but it may be too little too late as many locals here feel that the construction has only made traffic worse.
