The shot of Rhaenyra looking for Luke's body has another layer of agony once you realize that Syrrax is also looking for the body of her son as well.

I didn't think the rats were necessarily foreshadowing Blood and Cheese. They were symbolic of the rot in King's Landing and also may be how Larys knows so much. It'll be interesting to see if he has anything to do with the killings. It's blamed on Mysaria and those two seem opposed at the moment.

I theorized that Laenor will return and pretend to be a dragonseed, alter his appearance somehow so he can 'claim' his dragon as his own bastard (or Corlys's)

First off, congrats on the pending parenthood and happy holidays! I'm super excited for the season, the show's so brilliantly cast and I can't wait to see Amanda Collins et all bring to the table. Not so sure about the comparison between Aemond and Jamie you made, one of those characters has a redemptive arc and the other is about as one-noted a villain as GRRM has ever written not named Euron, they're apples & oranges.
