What a battle! I agree with the judges and think River took this. Napom had power and energy but River had more originality, musicality, structure, variety and even technicality regarding the spit snares and complex vocal combos. I don't think Napom's attempt at countering River's spit snare-vocal combo really took it because it was a much more simple imitation and then the jokes and loss of energy towards Napom's second round really backfired I think.

Hi all, this is a preemptive attempt to address something before being roasted in the comments. I hope me avoiding talking about the touching in this battle will not be viewed as preferential treatment toward NaPoM because he is my favorite beatboxer. Make no mistake, NaPoM is my favorite beatboxer but I have nothing against Ice at all. In fact, I think Abo Ice is an incredible beatboxer and talent. The reality is, I had already talked about the touching in the River vs Abo Ice Battle so much, and I talked about it in the Abo Ice vs Wing video a bit. I simply did not want to bog down another video with lots of talk on my opinions of touching in beatboxing battles. I just wanted to enjoy the beatboxing and a great final. I do disagree with the touching in this battle as well. Do I think it is much friendlier and innocent in this battle? Yes, but I still find it unnecessary. I just wanted to put this out there because I don’t want to add to the negativity in the beatboxing scene and I definitely don’t want anyone to direct that negativity or hate towards any of the beatboxers. I’ve heard some things about hate that has been directed towards Ice and I think it’s uncalled for. Let’s keep it positive gang!!! ESH!!!

I love the energy from both. But for me, I liked River a little more. Not much of his 1st round but I think his 2nd round saved his place 100%. Don’t get me wrong, I like Napom too. He is very powerful and knows how to run a crowd. Just not too fond him whipping out routines from 2015. It’s dope to hear him remixing it but it’s just I’ve already heard it before you know. Yeah... for me Napom won too. I remember watching the livestream and i said Napom should win but when i saw River won i was in shock. I thought that judges voted for River cuz he tried his ass winning and Napom already won this event in 2017... It was a 3 to 2 decision. Dlow said he voted for napom and i assume Gene voted for Napom too, but 2 french judges (Wawad and Alexinho) and Skiller voted for River. I am super happy for River cuz he really wanted to win the title and he rehearsed, tried hard to win but Napom deserved it more imho

Napom deserved the championship. The beat that River made at 12:47 was made at 5:57 in his duel with Colaps King Inertia. There were also techniques that Gene used. Napom had his own unique kicks and was very powerful. Energy, power, technique, impressing the audience and making them laugh. Napom has all of these. People enjoy listening to it. I don't understand the judges, I don't know if it was a problem that they were both French. He reached the final 3 times. His opponent in all 3 campaigns was France. Alem, Pacmax, River. Yes, the Alem deserved it. Yes, Pacmax deserved it, but this time it was Napom's deserved, my friend. Napom was definitely very strong and it showed. He deserved the championship. I'm so sorry about my Napom. In the napom vs river duel, they were both very good, I think napom was a little superior. I think it's unfair.
