Wow, was really bad!!! I sometimes (in winter) get image retention on the Phillips TV I use (when gaming), but the retension there lasts all of about 5 seconds.

My taskbar border is stuck on my LG 24GM79G-B 24-Inch Gaming Monitor. What is going on with LG monitors? It is past the 1 year warranty too. Image retention was never a problem with LCD panels in the past. I read somewhere that people are reporting it has something to do with Freesync. It did happen around the time I started using freesync, so not sure.

yes I have same problem for 34UC98!

Had this with a brand new dell. Had to force them to replace it, took a lot of convincing. Super annoying isn't it.
-
How long did you have it before you started to get this issue?
-

Hallo Mate, I have the 34UC98 I have the same issue the display is almost a year old but I have this problem since almost the beginning, I thought that my graphic card was some damaged, so I changed to a gtx1080 and the same error, now I called with them showed them via whatsapp the problem with a video, they say its my fault I used the monitor in a wrong way although I didnt and how can I as a customer use a display in a wrong way ???? All I can say they dont want to replace my monitor. I will never buy a display from them anymore I payed almost 1000€ for this display to get the best possible quality for then next years and now I am so disapointed only. Can you say me if you have got a new monitor from them ? I will do also youtube video I get fucked up with this expensive display with such failure which is not my fault as they say.

Freesync is foulty on this monitor. Turn off freesync and go for 60Hz. Image retention and flickering will go away
