Legends Canon: “.... consistently being refitted and upgraded during peace time...” Dis’Ne(w)’y Canon: Demilitarised and decommissioned even whilst knowing threats persisted against them.

New Republic: had the best fighters in all of galactic history. Resistance: Had the SF-Bomber... Which made the Y-wing seem high tech in comparison.

The Nebula is just the best. Why the sequels denied us their return to a clone wars style conflict between the NR and First Order is beyond me.

Like I said before, I wish we got to see the New Republic Navy but they got demilitarized like crazy and the rest got blown up by Death Star 3.0. The only real ship we got to see was the Raddus and even that was retired

I agree with you, the New Republic was very smart in how they manage their fleet and the ships than they created are very strong and versatile, and some of them are some of my favorite ships like the MC90

It was more balanced between the republic of old and the doctrines of the empire. A compromise of the two
