The Complete Story of Kanan Jarrus

RIP Kanan Jarrus Not the jedi we deserved, but the jedi we needed..

Going into Star Wars Rebels I wasn't all that impressed with Kanan initially but the character really grew on me. I liked that he wasn't just the wise old master who had all the answers for Ezra. For Kanan himself still had much to learn about the force and his character developed magnificently throughout the show. Kanan even outshined Ezra if you ask me. Kanan: I promise, we’ll see each other again. gets blinded later. regains his sight just before his death.

I love how Kanan ended up going out the same way as his master. Selflessly saving others.

8:49 Before Kanan died, the last thing he saw was the love of his life. The last thing Ezra saw was Thrawn hentai.

Kanan's voice is briefly heard in The Rise of Skywalker along with the other previous Jedi Rey is confronting Sidieous.

RIP Kanan... You’re one with the force now.

Probably the best character to come out of Disney Star Wars.

He sacrificed himself, just like Depa Billaba.

Kanan was IMO the most well developed and Interesting character in the new canon. Such a good story him and Hera carried the show at times.

WAIT A DAMN MINUTE “We will see each other again” HE FOLLOWED UP ON THAT WHEN HE DIED, HE REGAINED VISION SHE WAS THE LAST THING HE SAW HE FULFILLED HIS PROMISE

I met him, great guy, died on A HELL of a mining disaster.

It looks like I saved Kanan's life. Your welcome Kanan fans.

Battles leave scars, some you can't see

Jarrus died a few hours before the explosion of the fuel depot. In the episode before his death a wolf stopped his attempted rescue of Hera by saying "Dume", which forced Kanan to realize that he had to fully accept his role as a Jedi Knight. In his last episode we see Kanan cut off his ponytail, the last vestige of his role as a Padawan. He then shaves off his beard, symbolically taking off his "Kanan Jarrus" persona which used to disguise his Jedi past. He realized that he could not move forward until he let go of the guilt and feelings of inadequacy that had plagued him since he watched his Master Depa Billaba die to give him time to escape the events of Order 66. When he joins Ezra and Sabine at the beginning of the rescue Hera, he has truly become Jedi Knight Caleb Dume, and Kanan Jarrus is gone. When he dies he is at peace and fully accepts his fate.

In the Bad Batch s1e1 Caleb is saved by Hunter, and in s1e11 Omega befriends Hera. I love how they have the Bad Batch woven into those storylines.

Obi-Wan had been one of my fav from back in the day.. Imust say... Kanan is right up there with him.. so sad to see him die....

an absolute complete awesome character

Kanan’s story, and that of the rebels crew is the same: family and identity. But Kanan’s is probably the harshest. He was a Jedi who could not be a Jedi, forcing himself to forget who he is. And even when he started to accept it, he was faced with one trial after another. The shame of teaching without much knowledge, the trauma of the clone wars and his ability to join another fight and of course the loss of his sight. Eventually all of those things help him be what he was supposed to be, a Jedi with a sense of belonging, compassion and self sacrifice. So enlightened that he is able to restore his sight and even express some of his will through the cosmic force, proving that if he had lived a few decades earlier, he probably would have gotten himself a seat in the Jedi council.

Damn, his son really is uncanny looking..
