So Drake just took the biggest L in hip-hop history. What's next for the 6 God? The Drake vs. Kendrick battle is blowing up as the GOAT rap beef, but Drake's rep is in the gutter. ""Family Matters"" and ""The Heart Part 6"" deleted, ""Not Like Us"" going viral - it's rough out here for Champagne Papi. We're diving into how he might bounce back.

Rap Lore's breaking down some legendary rap beefs to see what Drake can learn. Remember when 50 Cent ended Ja Rule's whole career? We're talking ""Wanksta,"" ""Back Down,"" the works. Drake's gotta avoid becoming the new Ja at all costs. But is that possible?

We're also looking at some wild cards like Common vs. Ice Cube. Who knew Common had it in him to drop a bomb like ""The B*tch in Yoo""? Cube took the L but kept grinding - maybe Drake should take notes.

Of course, we can't forget the Jay-Z and Nas saga. ""Ether"" vs. ""Takeover"" is required studying for any rap beef historian. These two went from mortal enemies to collaborators. Could Drake and Kendrick ever bury the hatchet after ""Euphoria"" and ""Meet the Grahams""?

Last but not least, we're revisiting Drake's own battle scars from the Pusha-T beef. ""Story of Adidon"" was brutal, but Drake still dropped ""Scorpion"" and kept it moving. Can he pull off the same trick twice after Kendrick's ""Not Like Us"" knockout?

Don't sleep on this Rap Lore breakdown. We're connecting the dots between hip-hop's biggest beefs to figure out Drake's next move. Like, comment, subscribe - let's get into it!!

  • No. The downfall has been happening for years. Heā€™s been losing fans already with low quality music for a while and the Kendrick beef accelerated the downfall.
  • @jayshah9967
Drake should have never battled Kendrick in the first place.
  • Kendrick did drake worse than 50 did ja. Thereā€™s no coming back.
  • @jljl5449
The problem with Drake is that he started to believe he was actually as skilled a lyricist as his ghost writers made him appear.
  • They didnā€™t think Kendrick was battle tested? Really? He literally started his career a BATTLE rapper šŸ¤¦šŸ¾ā€ā™‚ļø
  • @damxn7303
Man, weā€™ve never seen anything like this. It sorta just showed authenticity always win
  • @demofya
I like how people overlook what happened after Pusha T won. Drake didn't recover... he doubled down on his leeching tactic and has been on life support since.
  • @rakeldanell
He lied to LeBron face about Mob Ties... he need that tattoo removed.
  • Honestly, I'm not even surprised that Drake lost the beef with Kendrick Lamar. Not just because Kendrick is a much better lyricist, but because Drake made the same mistake in this beef that he made in the beef with Pusha T: mentioning the other rapper's significant other.
  • @kuruzyka8134
No, you cant "settle your differences" about potentially being a pedophile, or any similar accusations. That's not just beef.
  • @The.ARCHIT3CT
Who TF ever said Kendrick wasnt a savage šŸ˜‚ heā€™s been KNOWN as the boogieman for a reason. Also, Jay never apologized FOR supa ugly. He apologized to his own MOTHER for offending HER.
  • Drake trying to battle Kendrick is like Urkele trying to fight Mike Tyson šŸ˜‚
  • @TheCompanyMan
Only thing Kendrick will kinda respect is if he gives back Tupac's ring.
  • @goodfella1401
Drake is not talented or respected enough to come back from this. Not even Ja Rule had this many opps. Ja Rule had 50 Cent, Busta Rhymes, DMX and Eminem against him but The Lox and Fat Joe publicly supporting him. No one who is very respected in hip hop has openly supported Drake in a way that they could inherit his beef with Kendrick. Not to mention unless Drake gets permission he will likely never be able to perform in California again
  • When you donā€™t write your own material you can drop drop drop like Aubrey
  • @_birdie
part of why he did it 6x is he was getting footage for his Not Like Us music video. i'm hoping he uses the clip of dre saying "i see dead people" at the start of the MV haha.
  • Kendrick would never take an olive branch from drake. He rightfully believes that drake being part of hip hop is bad for the culture
  • @xZyvon
He won't truly fall off, it's just that he will have negative credibility. Few people actually thought Drake was a good rapper, everyone knew he had ghostwriters. He's just the face & voice for a pop-rap collective pretending to be one person, and the people who listen to that shit don't know/care much if anything outside of how his shit sounds.

The issue is, even is Drake recovers, heā€™s on the clock. He will never gain Gen A as a fanbase. Theyā€™ll grow up and only know Drake for this controversy. Some existing fans may look past it, but heā€™ll have to mature with his fans now because theyā€™ll age out of his music soon enough.
