HEY so I'm not dead! I'm just incredibly slow and with how hectic this year has been, I haven't been able to dedicate much time to this. However, I'm still really passionate about this project and proud of what I've got, so I wanted to share a preview with y'all so you can see what I've been up to!

A HUGE thanks to @1littlehoneybee for letting me use her wonderful fanart in this video! She's awesome and y'all go and wish her well okay??

This is basically the introduction (of which is long I'm so sorry) to the author quest. There's a lot more to cover but hopefully this is a solid groundwork to pique folks' interest.

As I’ve seen this concern more than once now, I wanted to state that I’m not unmasking a stranger’s identity with the Starkit project or outing anyone’s current online identity. I’ve the author’s explicit permission and they are an active participant in the project. That lets the sparklecat out of the bag a little, but I think the concern is entirely valid so I wanted to address it. This second video would not exist without the author’s permission and I’ve gone to considerable lengths to ensure my process cannot be easily duplicated. So yeah, just to assure anyone with misgivings, I’ve got full permission from the author! They’ve been an active participant since before I started editing the first video (and even cameo’d in it). Hopefully that assuages any concerns!

As someone who's spent over a year researching a different fandom's bad fanfic, I decided to make a smaller video about the subject this week, and it actually brought me to find your channel. the thing is I think it’s really weird that you want to track down the author sometimes people don’t want to be questioned about content they have put onto the internet and privacy is important
