I think it would be cool if there are friendly dynamic interactions. Like if you're injured then a friendly npc (typically a medical npc) could give you a health kit or revive you if you died, or they could give you ammo and you can choose how they do it, they could give you ammo specific to your gun or weapon, an ammo type you selected, or it could randomly generate any ammo for you. Plus there could be a mod that could give npc's more unique interactions

Man the zombie animation could be used for a cool system where zombies can briefly grab you, and if enough of the do you just get killed by them. (This zombie system is from a game Called g&b, and a mod with that system would definitely be cool)

idk but I think in hl2ep1 or 2 alyx does have some animations like that against zombies and stuff
