My mom worked high up in a kiosk store that sold cards in the 90's in Norway and she got a first edition base set box as a sample. None of the other ceos had young kids when Pokemon first came out, so she took it. I vividly remember opening a box with my sister as a 5 year old. Over the years we always got the first new cards. First edition packs as rewards for cleaning our rooms, doing the dishes, etc.

Kudos to you for recognizing an awesome opportunity to recap the entire TCG when it really hadn't been done in this format by other YouTubers. As someone who was a kid when Base set hit, I imagine this would be even more interesting/useful for younger people who don't remember the early sets or eras.
  • Great job. This is exactly the type of refresher I need coming back into Pokémon cards. 151 did such a great job with the nostalgia factor.

Gotta say, the editing work that you put into your videos are leagues above what other Pokemon YouTubers are doing. You definitely deserve more views on these videos 👍🏼.

What an epic video. And my favorite set is 151. I completely master set this to include every single promo, and even the overseas pokemon together stamped promo’s

I went through my old Pokemon card collection that was just loose in a box, and found Shining Magikarp, Shining Tyranitar, and Shining Celebi. I'm not sure if it's worth grading them though, they're likely between lightly and moderately played. Still, it's been fun to try and get back into collecting.
  • I usually don’t like your videos but this is well put together. Good research and production quality, good work!

Amazing video man. Explained so well. Really put me on an emotional train of nostalgia. Well done to you and the team.
  • @TimRoed
Love this type of informative videos about the history pokemon!
  • @GameBreakersCrew
Thanks for clearing up the Charizard rookie card. Been in many debates about it over the years
  • @jacksonyon5276
I really love black and white era with the full art EX cards and the shinies even though the pull rates aren’t good. Also love the platinum era, ex era, and XY era
  • Personally, I think some of the older cards look cooler than modern day art cards.
  • @SlayerBear117
I really enjoyed this video thank you all for the hard work you guys do 😊
  • @BroncoTCG
Great video and definitely super awesome history I didn't know about early Japanese cards.
  • @Koolfeather
Thank you for all your hard work in putting this together! Just a brilliant video!
  • @Axton-Blake
I'm going to be honest, this was such an amazing video. I was so surprised on how much research your team and you must have had to do on all of this. You should definitely have more subscribers on this channel then pokémon Go with this type of content😊

  • @svenmcthias
Nice video! A lot of info. Good job guys. I didn't start back to collecting until sw&sh but I like the sun&moon era
